After removing Pandora's arm, the sculpture is then raised few feet in the air. And the bottom of the statue receives some final prep work with a hand made ice scraper, so that once joined to the rest of its body there will be no discernable seam in the ice.
Once done one last strap is added around her mid section to hold in the two main straps on place and prevent any side to side motion.

Satisfied Junuchi gives the signal and the lift cautiously proceeds. While everyone watching this unfolding drama holds their breath . . .

Flawlessly executed in less than 90 seconds Pandora’s upper torso is joined to the rest of her body. Miraculously not even the smallest lock of her curly hair is broken off.
Having risked it all, and coming out the victor. To all present that night Januchi now appears all but unstoppable as Ice Alaska 2000’s multi-block champion.
