Timothy 2:13-14 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived
was in the transgression.
Lets now talk a little about Eve. Eve wasn’t
just anyone, she first of all was Adam’s wife, his mate, his
best friend, she was Adam’s confidant, she was his intimate.
Other than God the woman was the most trusted member of those
Adam fellowship with. She owed her very existence to Adam
for she had been taken from his side; she was bone of his
bone and flesh of his flesh.
And as Paul tells us She was Adam’s glory.
This was the chosen vessel of the serpent
to corrupt Adam, -- the trusted source of impeccable credentials. She was an angel of light sent forth by the prince of darkness to
deceive if it were possible even the very elect.
But there was also something else afoot
in selection she had sat where he sat. She had eaten at his
table and had heard his worlds
Speaking of the Second Adam:
John 13:18 I speak not of you
all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may
be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against
me.
Speaking of the First Adam:
She that eateth bread with me hath lifted
up her heel against me.
Psalm 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom
I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel
against me.
And in this aspect of Eve having been intimate
with Adam she knew his uprisings and down settings, she knew
with certainty where the master would be at a certain time
and where even he went when he sought the Lord. This kind of knowledge was the power that Balaam
had over the Children of Israel’s, and ultimately Balaam used
this knowledge to sell out the people of God. In like manner
Eve used this same knowledge to sell out Adam, howbeit not
for 30 pieces of silver as Judas had sold his master for,
the first Adam was sold out for probably a half a dozen pieces
of fruit, or about the equivalent of a bowl of potage.
Balaam may have believed that he was not
trying to fix his personal problems but prevented God from
abandoning his people (The Midianites) and nation but in fact
his acts brought this one man brought swift destruction upon
his entire nation race and peoples.
Likewise Eve though in her fevered sin laden
mind she believed she was trying to fix her personal problems
and preventing God from abandoning her and God raising in
Adam another people. But what she in fact was doing was not
selling out the fate of Adam alone, she like Balaam did not
cease from her madness of willingly selling out the fate of
a nation yet in her loins, her offspring, and the fate the
world and all mankind for all time.
This is the true magnitude of what was done
that day. We could say that Eve was not herself , she had
become possessed of sin in every sense that one can be possessed
by a demon. This was the chosen vessel that the serpent sent.
A vessel that I repeat that was considered an impeccable source,
and that Adam loved as he loved more than his own soul.
I
want you now to recall that with Christ the second Adam that
after the mount of temptation the bible says the serpent left
Christ for a season The enemy simply did not give up as some may
preach to this day – he simply employed more devious stratagems
in his attempt to corrupt the son of man. He simply employed
Eve the trusted vessel – the angel of light to speak his words.
We need to now see that during Christ’s ministry as the Messiah,
as the anointed heir apparent to the throne of David, from
the point that the devil left him, the serpent then sent in
his surrogates. In other words from that day forth all those
around Jesus continually offered or asked Jesus to take the
throne of David. How so? It was in his being called and recognized
as the Messiah. It was in Christ being called the Son of David.
These names had implicit rights that He could have assumed.
And all that were around him expected to assume those implicit
rights.
It
was in the questions that Pontius Pilot asked Jesus. It was
in the rage of the Pharisees, and Priests. Do not think for
a minute that if Christ would have assumed the throne that
these men would have not bowed to their Savior. Their rage
was that Christ was not the warrior king that was to free
them from the yolk of Rome and put them in theocratic rule
over all that had originally been promised to Abram.
John 10:23-25 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. Then came the Jews
round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make
us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and
ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name,
they bear witness of me.
Further
is was on the lips of all of Israel that Jesus was the Christ
and the Messiah so that when Jesus as Jesus rode into Jerusalem
on the donkey there was incredible pressure exerted on Christ
to take the throne that day. And we can say by the testimony of the Gospels
that these same words were continually on the lips of Christ’s
blind and carnal disciples.
We see them as they fought continually about their
positions in Christ’s earthly kingdom. And at what one might
consider the Holiest point of His ministry; during the last
supper the disciples fought among themselves as to who would
be on the left and right hand sides of Christ literal earthly
throne. And even after the resurrection the question came
up once again Wilt thou at this
time take your kingdom? To which Christ said: No.
For
over three decades I have heard preachers time and time again
proclaim that Christ at any time could have taken what was
rightfully His. (And they mean His earthly kingdom.) They
say that Christ could have taken the throne of David at will.
And all will say a hearty Amen to this. And with this same
earthly sensual logic these same preachers tell us that it
is not Christ’s will that any of us should be poor. That it
is not Christ’s will that any of us should be sick, and that
Christ has given this world into the hands of the Church so
that we can rule and reign with Him here and now.
What
I am going to say now has been a mystery, and I cannot expect
anyone to understand it except that the Father has given it
to them.
It
is utterly false that Christ could have taken the throne of
David at anytime. As He had forsaken his natural father, mother,
sisters, brothers, houses, and lands, and made Himself of
no reputation. So too did Christ forsake his inheritance as
the Messiah and Heir to David’s throne. He forsook Jerusalem,
He forsook the palace of Herod, He forsook the royal lands,
and he forsook all those that would have been His servants
that at His word, He forsook all that would have sworn instant
allegiance to Him. And
this is the point on which the devil goaded and tempted Christ
almost daily to seize upon it.
How
could this have been sin? How could this have been wrong if
He was the Messiah? The answer is simple it was sin because
it was NOT the will
of the father at that time.
If there ever was a person that we could say every
promise in the book was His, that would have been Jesus Christ
– and yet none of these things were His for the claiming,
for the confessing, or for the taking as our friends who teach
the Word of Faith message insist that they were. Consider
alone the words “Physician
heal thyself.”
And realize that even after Jesus rose from the dead and Christ
was in no less than His glorified body – which was indeed
without spot or wrinkle that these wounds remained.
Remember
on the day that Simon Peter rebuked Christ and said that He
should not die, and Christ turned around and rebuked Satan
for speaking through Peter’s mouth. What I am trying to convey here is that Peter
was not the only one voicing the devil’s siren song for Christ
to take matters into his own hands and to seize that earthly
natural kingdom for himself.
The devil was using almost any mouth that could speak
to tempt to trick to divert and to chide Christ into sinning.
He was tested on all points – Hopefully now you can see this a little
more clearly.
I will now speak to the nature of sin as
to what God has seen fit to reveal to my feeble mind and senses.
In the life of Eve sin converted Eve from being a Adam’s loving
wife, Adam’s helpmeet, Adam’s comfort, Adam’s support, submissive,
kind, humble, meek lowly of heart, not self seeking, in short
a little loving lamb. In a matter of moments sin transformed
the woman filling her with deceit, manipulation, haughtiness,
arrogance, she became forceful, proud, self-seeking, in short
she was converted from a tender lamb into a roaring lion seeking
whom she may devour like her father the devil.
The revelation from the tree of the knowledge
of the tree of Good and Evil made Eve into a raving lunatic
– Yes, she had gotten the knowledge that she had so coveted
– knowledge to transform and corrupt the world around her
to her own personal whims. But there came also a terrible
price with that – the knowledge of sin and death –her own. Filled with fear, filled with an almost demonic
rage her love of Adam faded, her love of the Father faded,
and any gratitude she may have had for her life and the garden
that they had been place in vaporized in a matter of moments.
The effect of sin on Eve can be rightly compared
to the effect of Heroin on a Heroine addict, or cocaine on
a cocaine addict or crack on a crack addict.
People who have become the servants of these drugs
routinely steal and kill their loved ones for a fix. Eve in
her sin fevered state knew she was lost – however she did
not seek to protect Adam with her undying love, she sought
instead to use him as a bargaining chip to try to preserve
herself.
What is the nature of sin?
I would propose that like faith it is invisible, yet
its manifestation can be clearly seen by men.
I would therefore propose that Sin has a spiritual
counterpart that effect far more than we would ever realize
and the removal of those sin stains is not the simple assent
of descent of confession of the mouth as is commonly preached
in this day by the all too many who make themselves willing
surrogates of the serpent, by carrying forth his word.
For example in Exodus in the consecration
of the priests and the holy vessels
In Exodus 29:10-14
They Aaron and his sons lay their hands on the head of
the first Bullock and impart their sin into it – (In
the Law one could only impart sin when they laid hands on
something.) Eyeball to eyeball they then killed the Bullock
that bore their sin before the Lord by the Door of tabernacle
of the Congregation. They then applied the blood to the horns
of the altar with their finger – God said: “It is the Sin
Offering.”
Now you would think that the sin question
would have been dealt with here once and for all, but look
again
The next passage Still in Exodus 29:15
– 18 (The ram of the burnt offering) Thou shalt
take a ram . . . Aaron and his sons again lay their hands on
the head of the ram and impart their sin and iniquity. (I
thought the sin offering took it all away – no it didn’t)
Aaron and his sons then slay the ram and sprinkle the blood
around about the altar (They are consecrating or cleansing
the altar) And then they burn the whole ram as a burnt offering
unto the Lord which is a sweet savor an offering made by fire
unto the Lord.
The question comes; where did the sin come
from for the priest to impart directly into the bullock if
the Priest already did a sin offering?
Now after the priest doing this twice you would think
that the sin question would have been dealt with in his life
forever, but look again the would be priest again imparts
sin from himself into
the sacrifice.
The next passage Still in Exodus 29:19 -
46 Then thou shalt take the other ram (The Ram of consecration)
– and Aaron and his son’s shall put their hands upon its head
(they are still imparting more iniquity and sin) – and thou
shalt kill it and take the blood and put it upon
the tip of the right ear, put it upon the tip of the right
thumb, and put it upon the right great toe. – And them
sprinkle the blood on the altar and round about. And
thou shalt take the the blood that is upon the Altar and the
Holy anointing oil and sprinkle it upon Aaron and his garments
and upon his sons –and he shall be hallowed, his garments
his sons and their garments.
We can see the blood in action in this passage.
Upon the tip of the right ear that all that we hear may be
from the Lord. Upon the great right toe that our walk may
be continually before the Lord. Upon the right thumb that
all the works of our hand may be of the Lord.
The blood of the Old Covenant could only
be applied on the outward parts.
Paul says that the Old Covenant was week
through the flesh but the New Covenant through Christ we were
given the blood to drink so that that it might go into our
inward parts circumcise our hearts and renew our minds.
This is why this is a better covenant because the blood
is applied to the root of the problem in us.
Now those who read this entire passage they
know that even with a triple offering that is imparting sin
into three separate sacrifices that the sin in that priest
is by no means gone for scripture says that the priest was
to do this for seven days 21 times the priest was to lay his
hands on a sacrifice eyeball to eyeball – while at the same
time keeping himself separated and pure.
– We are all called to be kings and priests unto God
we are all called to this kind of cleansing, we are all called
to dedicate our lives fully to Christ as His servant and the
servant of no other – but this is so far a field from the
microwave and fast-food salvation that is taught and preached
this day.
Is it any wonder that no one ever gets cleansed,
is it any wonder that no one gets changed (converted as Christ
used the word.) Instead of moving from faith to faith and glory
to glory the church moves from corruption to corruption and
sin to sin and the movement and activity is deemed as change.
People ask why don’t we have the power of God, why are Christians
sick and dying – this is the answer – they are filled with
sin and corruption or in the words of Christ their light has
become darkness.
Sin is a spiritual force but the force of
sin is not God or the Holy Ghost.
We have seen of read testimony how time and again the
spirit of this age as it is sometimes called anoints with
sin evil man and women like the National Organization for
Women – a relative small group that for two or three decades
have been able to name national policy at will. The Green
Party and Environmental groups, Liberalism, the Nazi’s or
WWII, and Islam of today, what these all have in common is
they are ideologies, they have been “Anointed“ by the prince
of darkness and for a time they were given power to enslave
and to conquer. This is some of the power of sin.
In a few specific verses Sin is called leaven,
(but in the rest of scripture leaven can not be rightly interpreted
as sin.) The power of leaven is that it effects and
transforms all it comes in casual contact with until the whole
loaf is overtaken with it.
In the 1970’s
so much of the preaching made out sin to be a personal choice,
and a poor choice of people of bad taste. These were days
when heavy moral relativism was taught in high schools and
collages and “I’m Okay and You’re Okay was one of the top
selling books. The church of that day was a bunch of “Go along,
get along kind of fellows” willing to compromise almost any
of their core beliefs in order to show the world that we really
are a people of love and understanding. So the S-word was dropped from preaching and
the altar calls and instead friendship with Christ was lauded.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together
with unbelievers: for what fellowship (or friendship) hath righteousness
with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
The body of Christ
is in such dire condition in this hour that being yoked together
with unbelievers many times is the same if not better than
being yoked together with carnal and utterly corrupt believers,
those who have either discipled themselves to some
particular set of teachings, or to some ministry and receive
their salvation and justification from such.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in
the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with
another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us
from all sin.
Note that John
does not say if we walk in darkness we are to have fellowship
with one another and while we do that we receive cleaning.
Nor does the apostle suggest that if we accept our
selves for who we are we are to have fellowship with one another
and receive cleansing. And we can say with some certainty
that nowhere in the bible is it suggested that if we walk
with the ungodly and fellowship with worldly believers
Old time preaching
went something like this: You are a sinner and God can not
fellowship with you. You will die and go to hell because you
deserve such from a Righteous and Holy God. All of this is
true but God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten
son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but
come to everlasting life. What must I do to become saved you
must surrender your life to Christ, give yourself to him and
follow him. Christ can not fellowship with you as you are
because you are filled with sin and iniquity. So you must forsake all that you have and are in the world you must
give up all your worldliness, and you must seek him in deep
repentance day and night until you are changed within and
without. Then you can have fellowship with him and serve him.
But all
of this was done away with so that acceptance by the world
could be gained. Instead “Love the sinner and not the sin.”
became the rallying cry. And “You can’t judge.” Became the watchword thereby allowing all
who desired to continue in sin perpetual cover within the
church
So how does all this sin and fellowship
stuff relate to Eve? I want to put a small thought in your
mind for the moment that had the first Adam acted from like
Christ the second Adam and put Eve on notice that she had
corrupted herself the story would have been a lot different.
The problem is that Adam tried to continue in fellowship with
Eve after he knew full well what she wanted him to do. And
empowered by sin and empowered by the fruit of the knowledge
of good and evil she over time bested the man and he submitted
to her wiles.
2
Corinthians 11:2-4 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you
to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin
to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be
corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he
that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached,
or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received,
or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well
bear with him.
It is no less than the Paul the Apostle that
makes the assertion that Eve is not only a type of the followers
of Christ, but that the Eve’s corruption was something on
the order of what was occurring with alarming frequency to
believers while Paul and the Apostles were yet teaching.
As we mentioned in some detail in part
one Adam was not without sin.
But the sin that he committed was not unto death.
Instead of rearing up Eve that she might come into
the fullness of God that Adam had experienced Adam placed
himself between Eve and God as her Priest into God. And this
was the fundamental error that came upon the children of Israel
under the hand of Moses and ultimately destroyed them as a
people. And also was the fundamental error that struck the
early church sometime during the second century and ultimately
brought about their rejection. And to this day in every church
this same corrupt order of men acting as priests between men
and God is observed.
So
now let us examine the testimony of Eve.
Genesis
3:13 And
the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast
done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did
eat.
This
verse tells us a few things it tells us that after the serpent
beguiled her that she “I (singular)
did eat”. Compare that now with the biblical record in
Genesis 3:6
Genesis
3:6 .
. . and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were
opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed
fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Note that in this verse that after she gave
it unto her husband and that
“he (singular) did eat”. She had eaten already her
eyes had been opened previous to this even but after they
had both eaten both of their eyes were opened and both knew
that they were naked and both sewed fig leaves together and
made themselves aprons.
Genesis
3:13 And
the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast
done?
Note here that God did not turn to Adam and
say: “Why didst thou not defend the woman?” Or “Why didst
thou not guard the woman, for the moment thou left her uncovered
thou knewest the serpent would come and beguile her?”
I have heard this sentiment preached. To
do so is to find fault with God who knew the truth before
he turned to Eve and demanded an accounting of what she had
done.
So lets now look now at what Eve did. To
put this as plain as I can Eve allowed herself to become an
emissary or agent of Satan. Scripture does not say that she
was deceived into doing this act, let us be clear she had
been taken in temptation, but then she willing in turn became
the tempter, allowing herself to become a very powerful and
effective weapon in Satan’s arsenal. She was after all Adam’s
wife, and his mate his intimate. She was a trusted believer, she was a member
of Adam’s fellowship, she part of him body soul and spirit. Beloved of Adam’s every bit as Isaac was loved
by Abraham.
I have no idea what really happened that
day in the garden so while what I have written below is nothing
more than a guess and should not be treated as anything more
than rank speculation on my part.
At first Adam did not know what Eve had done
and how that she had utterly corrupted herself.
The sweet trusted holy woman, the love of his soul
that had left him hours earlier was now gone forever. And
what now approaching him was a woman filled with deceit and
deception. After having tasted of the fruit of the tree of
the knowledge of good and evil, Eve no longer had a goal of
walking with God, being wholly pleasing to her husband, and
going on the quest for the tree of life. Now her heart and
soul was on fire filled with envy, wrath, hatred, lust, and
deceit. The urges that cried out from within she had never
felt before, and were probably almost uncontrollable.
Eve comes over to Adam with something wrapped
up in leaves her face is flushed and she’s excited like he
has never seen her before.
Adam being perplexed asks “Is everything
is well with your soul?”
Eve speaking uncharacteristically assertively
laughs while doing a pirouette. “How do you like the new me?”
“What happened to you? What do you mean by
“new me”?”
Eve tersely replies. I’m not dead! Look at
me Adam I have never been more alive.
Still puzzled Adam asks. “What do you mean
by you’re not dead. Anyone can plainly see that you are alive.”
“No Adam, I am more than just alive. I now can see so many things that I never saw
before. How stupid we have been. We’ve been doing everything
the hard way instead of seeking dominion over this bush we
should exert dominion.”
Eve then proceeds to go over to a bush by
where Adam is working. She grabs the bush by its branches
and rips it out of the ground breaking off several branches
as she tries until it tears free from the ground she then
puts it on the ground a few feet away and kicks dirt over
its roots.
Adam is horrified/ “You have hurt it. You
have hurt a creation of God.”
Eve dusts off her hands and says: “It will
grow. It always has, and always will.”
Looking angrily up now at Adam Eve says:
“Do you know what your problem is?”
“No what?”
“You are too weak and tender hearted. Look
around you. We have been here now for x number of months,
and look at how little you have gotten done. If you want to
impress God you are going to have to show him that you can
get the job done. God has obviously given us this impossible
task to perform because he is a hard task master. He wants
us to keep this garden for him because he wants to take from
us what he did not grow and if he is not pleased with our
work he will take these stones and will raise up other workers
to tend this garden in our stead.”
Adam is stunned by Eve’s angry outburst.
“You must be sick woman sit down and I will pray for you.”
Eve steps away from the man’s reach. “I’m
fine I’ve never been better. You just don’t get it. God has
been using us all along.”
“Where did you hear that from? Have you spoken
with the serpent?”
“And what if I did or didn’t speak with him?
What are you going to do about it Adam? Are you going to leave
me if I did?”
No. Adam replied quietly. “You know I would
never leave you. But you shouldn’t talk to the serpent he
is filled with hate and evil and he wants nothing more than
to hurt us.”
Job
31:32-34 The
stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors
to the traveller. If
I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity
in my bosom: Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt
of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not
out of the door?
Note here that Job is implying that the reason
Adam decided to sin was for his wife’s fellowship, and more
particularly Job had fear of her contempt. What Job says here
is that Adam should have not been cowed by Eve, he should
have not kept silent and that Adam should have left her to
find God and see if God could help her?
2
Timothy 2:16-17 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
And their word will eat as doth a canker:
1
Timothy 6:4-5 He
is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and
strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil
surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and
destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:
from such withdraw thyself.
Had
Adam walked away that day things might have been greatly different.
When Eve ate of the fruit and she received
knowledge – this was the first
lying sign and wonder recorded in the word of God.
It was not a lying
sign and wonder because the event in itself was false. Eve
really did receive a good dose of the knowledge of good and
evil. It is a lying
sign and wonder because it was an attestation to a lie – That
her eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was
good for her and not evil. And that because she yet lived
and spoke she had not crossed from the path of life to the
path of death and corruption.
Matthew
6:22-23 The
light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single,
thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full
of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness,
how great is that darkness!
Christ is talking here about light and revelation
that comes from the knowledge of good and evil.
And when your revelation or enlightenment comes from
your corrupt understanding how great is your darkness. Once
Eve was overthrown Christ is implying here that she no longer
had the ability to discern between light and darkness everything
that she said and did was now corrupt.
John
3:19 And
this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world,
and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds
were evil.
Adam was still filled with light and what
once Eve had loved now she now hated. She had to make him
like her. She felt compelled to corrupt him as she had been
corrupted realizing that she would have been left alone in
sin and possibly be destroyed by God and she could not let
that happen.
So if Adam did not bite Eve’s sales job,
and if Adam did not bite on her little demonstrations of the
power of her new found knowledge, -- Eve still
had a back-up plan. She knew then it came down push and shove the
bonds of Adams undying love for her would carry the day. So
As I initiated earlier what kicked in was what was later spoken
of Christ the second Adam -- She that sat at bread with
me raised up her heel against me.
Job
testifies of that day in saying
“Did the contempt of families terrify me (as Adam), that I kept silence
(as Adam), and went not out of the door (As Adam)?
What
is Job really talking about here? He is speaking about his
wife that fell in sin and bitterness against the Lord. –
This is the woman that spoke to Job with all bitterness
and contempt and said the words of Satan.
“Curse God and Die.” But Job says He was not cowed
by his wife like Adam. Job is telling us He sinned not, and
he walked away from his wife, and his intimate. He recognized
she had become a corrupted and untrusted source and the man
Job spoke no more with her lest he would be taken in her sin.
Eve
no longer a lamb chaste and pure moves in after her initial
failure to convert Adam to darkness and she employs her new
found of female wiles but once again it appears that Adam
did not bite. But then Eve plays on Adams fears and deals
out to him large doses contempt and according to what I see
in Job at that point the Man Adam caved in ,and succumbed
to her demands to partake of the fruit..
Genesis
3:6 .
. . and (she) gave also unto her husband with her; and he
did eat.
And this is why God knowing exactly who did what
goes directly to Eve.
Genesis
3:13 And
the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast
done?
And we know from the Apostle Paul that Adam
was not deceived by the serpent and that it was the woman
that transgressed.
1
Timothy 2:13-14 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived
was in the transgression.
So if Adam was not deceived he made a choice
with his eyes wide open.
But unlike Moses Adam could not stand up
to so great a temptation.
Hebrews
11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction
with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin
for a season;
Adam chose pleasure for a season with Eve
rather than walking with God and working alone on the path
to the tree of life.
Again Job says: Had Adam walked but away
from Eve how things might have been different.
The church of this hour regardless
of what denominational flavor you select has been largely
constructed not by revelation of the Holy Spirit but from
fruit of the tree of corrupted earthly knowledge. – Despite
the glowing things that men will say of themselves and other
men’s ministries these ministries have been built on a foundation
of corrupt human knowledge rather than on the word that proceedeth
out of the mouth of the father. These ministries do no develop
a deep abiding relationship with God, -- instead they seek
to develop a dependency on the minister and his ministry.
This is the Sin of Adam. It is engrained very deeply into
the human soul and that is why we see it over and over again
in virtually every church and fellowship.
In light of what Eve did consider
the words of Paul the Apostle:
Paul the Apostle makes the assertion here
that Eve is not only a type of the followers of Christ, but
that the Eve’s corruption was something on the order of what
was occurring with alarming frequency to believers while Paul
and the Apostles were yet teaching.
Who then is the trusted source in the
Church? – The one with the impeccable credentials. Do people
not implicitly trust their pastor, their teacher, their preacher
and when these corrupted preachers speak corruption, lies,
hatred or anything other than Christ what do we do? We wink
at their sin, we wink at their words, and in so doing we become
their enabler, enabling them to continue to speak and minister
to an audience, others we give our tithes offerings and gifts
and enable these corrupt men to preach to others on radio
TV or out in the evangelistic field – they tells us that in
so doing we reap of their shelves – but in truth Christ himself
will make us partake of their sin and corruption and there
fore we will also be made to be partakes of them in hell.
2
Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves
into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself
is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also
be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end
shall be according to their works.
Certainly this also applies to what Eve did
to Adam she appeared to him as one bearing revelation and
understanding while her heart was filled corruption and all
manner of deceit.
Galatians
1--9 Which
is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would
pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we
have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before,
so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto
you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
In our day there are 10,000 gospels being
preached by preachers by books written by people that have
long been dead, in tapes, videos and TV and on the Internet.
We accept every word we hear as truth, from the trusted sources
we chose. There is no discernment there is no judgment, there
is no rightly dividing the word of truth. Long ago the devil
stopped visiting the church and its myriad of denominations.
He does not have to visit anymore, he does not have to carefully
watch over the people of God, because there are 10,000 Eves
with another 100,000 Eves waiting in the wings all who are
willing to work as the serpent’s agent to carry his deception
for him and corrupt all that they come in contact with. It
is my earnest cry that the eyes of your understanding might
be opened. That you will return to the Lord and seek him until
you develop a personal relationship with him and can hear
from him on your own. That you would open the word of God
and have the scales removed from your eves and read what is
there instead of hearing the programmed voices of what you
have been taught to believe and finally that you would have
so great a love for those around you that you can no longer
let them perish in the night.
Colossians 2:3-5
In whom are hid all the treasures of
wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest
any man should beguile you with enticing words.
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in
the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness
of your faith in Christ.
Colossians
2:17-19 Which
are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility
and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which
he hath not seen (heard from God
himself, or his hands have handled concerning the word of
life), vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the
Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment
ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase
of God.
Matthew
24:4 And
Jesus answered and said unto them, Take
heed that no man deceive you.
* * *
Last year among several powerful things in
scripture that the Lord opened up to me, He showed me what
took place during the temptation of Eve in the garden. As
profound as that was with Eve being dawn away by her own lust
and utterly corrupting herself, sadly the story of what took
place in the garden did not end with the fall of Eve, what
was to occur only began there.
The fall of Eve was in fact, only the first
act of a three-part tragedy that condemned the entire human
race. In looking back now it should have made me suspicious
when both secular churches and fundamentalist churches agree
that when Satan ensnared Eve that, that was the end of the
story.
In Church as a young believer I was taught
that this was the end of the story, in bible school I was
taught that this was the end of the story but it was not.
The enemy had a far greater fish to fry than Eve, it was Adam
that he was truly after and at the moment I do not expect
you to be able to see that.
The Lord only showed this to me a few days ago and
I am only starting to see to far reaching implications
Adam was the son of God – Jesus was the
son of God
Eve was taken from Adams rib –Adam said she
is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh
The Church is the Body of Christ we partake
of his flash and blood that we might have His life within
us
When we were lost in sin he gave himself
for us that we might become his bride
When Eve was lost in sin Adam did not give
himself for her instead he considered his fellowship with
her in sin was worth more than his fellowship with God Adam
like Esau despised his birthright. What Adam was supposed to have done was to
redeem Eve by giving himself for her like Christ did for the
Church. And because Adam chose her fellowship in sin the entire
race because of the act of one man was brought into sin
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that
all have sinned:
So why then does not Paul say by Eve sin entered into the world?
It is because Adam was
the son of God he was the prize not Eve. And in the case of
the second Adam when Simon Peter denied Christ thrice – he
fell into sin but it did not end Christ’s call to save the
world what Peter did was the enemy trying to get to Christ
Jesus probably heard Simon Peters words and the Pharisees
and the Priests speaking the words of Satan more than likely
derided Christ telling him that his quest as the messiah was
now over. And that all his disciples even Simon Peter had
denied and forsaken him and that he should curse God and die.
See Christ was the prize not Simon Peter
Romans
5:15-17 But
not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For
if through the offence of one many be dead, much
more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by
one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the
judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is
of many offences unto justification. For
if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much
more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift
of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Not once but six times Paul tells us that
sin entered into the world by one man – and that man was Adam
Romans
5:18-20 Therefore
as by the offence of one judgment
came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the
righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto
justification of life. For as by
one man's disobedience many were made sinners,
so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover
the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where
sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
What was Adam’s
offense? Most people would answer eating of the fruit of the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But his offense was
that he continued in fellowship of Eve after he knew she had
been corrupted – when instead Adam should have sought God’s
help
1
Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even
so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Far from automatic if we are found to be
in Christ we shall be made alive.
All are in Adam, but it takes conversion in the full
biblical sense for us to be IN CHRIST. Hence Christ words
about being born again, born of the Spirit.
1
Corinthians 15:46-48 Howbeit that was not first
which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward
that which is spiritual. The first man is of the
earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. As
is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as
is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
It is only through the revelation of Christ as the second and Last
Adam, that Christ’s relationship and actions with the church
that the first Adams actions and lack of actions that we can
see into the origins of the fall. You will not find any of
this in books or in commentaries.
As
bad as things were the day that Adam and Eve fell from grace,
with the man Adam and the Woman upon on the ropes, the devil
having successfully supplanted the man not one but twice taking
his birthright, and then taking away from him dominion of
all of creation the devil was not able at that time to fully
implement his plan for the man and the woman yet lived and
he knew all too well that it was through their seed that he
was to be undone
Rest
assured that God was not stunned that Adam had fallen and
He did not wring His hands knowing not what to do. Before
Adam dropped the pit from the fruit God said: “I so love this
man Adam I shall redeem him.” And God set in motion the plan of redemption.
Redemption
began immediately with Adam and Eve being removed for their
own personal safety from the garden. God in His mercy prevented
Adam and Eve from entering into eternal death by partaking
of the tree of life after having eating of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil.
For in their corrupted state if they would have partaken
there would have been no room for redemption – but instead
in God’s mercy blocked them from eternally destroying themselves.
And in their sin fevered minds their objective quickly turned
to the tree of life in a vain hope that by partaking of its
fruit it would counter react the effects of sin and death.
But sin is not a physical thing along as we have already mentioned
it has a spiritual aspect that is written within ones heart
and soul. And no more than the tree of life could erase sin
and death from Adam and Eve so also the stains of sin and
iniquity that are in all of us are not merely erased upon
one’s judicial salvation. For we are all called to be kings and priests
before God and in the Law of Moses we are given some idea
of the cleansing that was necessary to make that which was
unclean clean, that which what profane righteous that which
was unholy holy and fit for the Master’s use – yet why is
this not taught or mentioned this day in any quarter? It is
because the trusted vessels that we have hired to ….hear the
voice of God for us, the seek God for us, to read the word
of God for us, and to teach us God’s ways – In reality these
men and women do not know God. They have never heard His voice,
nor seen His shape they are in fact only one of us filled
with sin and carnality.
We
know the state of the Church has been in freefall for some
decades now. And until we can make a break with these ever
increasingly corrupt preachers and hard wire ourselves into
Christ and become his disciples alone -- nothing will change.
This is a call for the Church to get off it’s drugs – that
is the books, the tapes, the tele-teachers and tele-evangelists
the study notes and the endless meetings that are designed
to keep the soul busy but leave the spirit empty.
We need to go cold turkey – reading the bible and meditating
on the word of God for ourselves an hour or more a day. And
we need to begin praying, waiting on God, and privately worshipping
God for an hour or more every day.
If God undertakes we will begin to be convicted over
past sins and our current smarmy dealings.
Many
this day teach that even the slightest hint of conviction
is in fact the condemnation of the devil. That is complete
utter nonsense. Pray tell why would the enemy want you to
clean up your life and for you to the place were you can hear
from God for your self? If you feel the least twinge confess
it to God, put it under the blood and if it is something you
are doing walk away from it.
First God is very reluctant in the
current atmosphere to dispense the so-called power gifts,
because of the potential of misuse on a global scale with
radio and television. The answer is the same as in the death
of the pastors wife it is not that Gods arm is shortened,
it is not that God can not heal, it is the proclivity of sinful
and evil men to use any given healing as evidence to justify
their teachings and doctrines, and it is that anyone being
healed today can end up traveling the circuit trafficking
upon the Gospel – and then burning in hell for having been
healed.
In the words
of Christ it is better to live a godly life with one eye one
leg or one arm than to get healed and made whole and live
a corrupt and sinful life. The latter end of that house is
worse than they former end.
Matthew 5:28-30 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh
on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with
her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee,
pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable
for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that
thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right
hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it
is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish,
and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Who gets all the girls and the worship
and adoration of the corrupt Christian masses? A) The broken
up deformed man? Or B) A man perfect to look upon in every way
that has been made rich by preaching about his healing and
his being delivered? The
answer is the church loves winners, the church of this hour
is success orientated and loves and lauds stories of the triumph
of the human spirit. And all of this is a complete 180 of the Gospel.
Matthew 18:7-11 Woe unto the world because of offences!
for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man
by whom the offence cometh! Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot
offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather
than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting
fire. And if thine eye
offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better
for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having
two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Take heed that ye despise
not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in
heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father
which is in heaven. For the Son of man is come to save that
which was lost.
And what do you suppose those offences
against the little one’s are? Jesus does not enumerate the
offenses here. Jesus said: “It
is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather
(or blind) than having two hands
or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.”
Jesus is flat saying here it is better
to go through life halt and righteous than be healed and because
of that healing fall into sin.
Jesus is saying it is better to be lame all your days
and live righteously God, than to be healed and in that healing
fall into sin. And finally Jesus says it is better to be never
healed of blindness blind and righteously serve the Lord than
to be healed and with you sight become filled with covetousness
of all the things you had never seen and filled with lust
for all the women you had never seen
The
offenses that Jesus enumerates on are those of the Pharisees.
The Chief is hypocrisy, which causes offense in their hearers.
Jesus says their eyes are filled with covetousness and lust.
The process of being
a priest unto God is one of deep cleansing.
--
the tree of life is instead offered to overcomers those in
Christ who have had their hearts circumcised
-- those are then safe to receive eternal life rather
than eternal death as the devil had hoped.
This
also has serious overtones to the state of the Church in this
day.
1 Corinthians 11:29-31 For
he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh
damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For
this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
If
the power of God that was present in the day of the Apostles
was present here today tens of thousands would b struck dead
in a single day,
Ezekiel 9:3-5 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from
the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house.
And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the
writer's inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him,
Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem,
and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and
that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst
thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye
after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare,
neither have ye pity:
For if the departure of the lords presence among the corrupt and
sinful children of Israel was great and terrible how much
more fearful shall be the day of His returning to the vineyard
to deal Justice to its inhabitants and keepers?
I see by the spirit the Lord Jesus Christ in great indignation and
with great wrath coming suddenly into his temple and beginning
with the elders purging the place of all who are unrighteous
and unholy.
Years ago someone began preaching that it was only the mercy of the
Lord that His presence was being held back in our day. It
is not the mercy of the Lord that he withholds himself from
the “Church.” For every decade there are millions of more
souls that have Gone to hell because the church has persisted
in its sin and not repented.
Deuteronomy 31:28-30 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers,
that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven
and earth to record against them. For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves,
and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and
evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do
evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through
the work of your hands. And Moses spake
in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of
this song, until they were ended.
I now can see clearly
that at least Paul the Apostle knew that after his death and
the other Apostles that the “Church” would utterly corrupt
itself and that the “Church would turn aside from the way.
Moses here prophesies what shall befall the backslidden unrepentant
children of God in the LATTER DAYS – These words are
clearly to us upon whom the ends of the earth have come.
Deuteronomy
31:16-18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold,
thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise
up, and go a whoring after the gods (Become the disciples of Preachers
ministries and teachings other than the words of Christ and
the apostles) of the strangers of the land, whither
they go to be among them, and (The Church) will forsake me, and break my covenant
which I have made with them (Through Christ
Jesus). Then my anger shall be kindled against
them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I
will hide my face from them, (This is where the church is today) and
they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall
befall them; (And Christ Said in the end
the sorrows and evils shall be greatly multiplied – that is
because the people will not repent) so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon
us, because our God is not among us? And I will surely hide
my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have
wrought, in that they are turned (Made themselves disciples of ) unto other
gods (Preachers ministries and teachings
other than the words of Christ and the apostles).
Deuteronomy
31:25-27 That Moses commanded the Levites, which
bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying, Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the
covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a
witness against thee. For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am
yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against
the LORD; and how much more after my death?
To
this day there is a book that is in heaven that is a witness
against the Church and all the evil and sin they have committed
against the Lord that hath redeemed them and that book is
the Lamb’s book of life. As the books is opened seal by seal
judgments are poured out fro sin – against sinners and the
lost? No they are poured out against defiled believers and
their corrupt preachers teachers and ministers who have led
them astray.
Deuteronomy 1:34-36 And the LORD heard the voice of your words,
and was wroth, and sware, saying, Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation
see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers. Save Caleb the
son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give
the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.
The
entire Church of our day the fundamentalists the Evangelicals
the Pentecostals and the Charismatics have all been cast aside
for their sin and iniquity – there has not been a Caleb that
wholly follows the Lord among all of them (myself included.)
What I speaking of here is not that the church made some wrong
turn in the last 40 years though they did but that Generation
upon Generation the church and its corrupt leaders have sinned
grievously before the Lord. And that he final payday for all that sin and
iniquity is neigh upon us.
Deuteronomy 7:14-16 Thou shalt be blessed above
all people: there shall not be male or female barren among
you, or among your cattle. And the LORD will take away from
thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases
of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them
upon all them that hate thee. And thou shalt consume all the
people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye
shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their
gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
Above
is a favorite “Promise”
that is confessed and claimed by millions everyday yet it
this same passage.
Deuteronomy 7:3-4 Neither shalt
thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not
give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy
son. For they will turn away thy son from following me, that
they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be
kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
None
confess and claim this

(And Not fully as Caleb)
1 Kings 14:22 And
Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked
him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed,
above all that their fathers had done.
1 Kings 15:34 And he did evil in the sight of
the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin
wherewith he made Israel to sin. (Once
the sin mold was cast once the tradition of sin was created
Israel could not separate itself from it and it is likewise
true that the sin mold that was cast with Constantine and
the Roman Catholic are such deep traditions among Catholics
and Protestants neither can separate themselves from these
sins.)
1 Kings 16:19 For
his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the
LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which
he did, to make Israel to sin.
1
Kings 16:25
But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse
than all that were before him. (Historically
the Church was in a certain level of sin for centuries because
of the orthodox Roman Catholic and Protestants Churches but
in this day with Kenneth Hagan and his clones they have repeated
moved the bar of sin teaching men greater sin and defilement
before the Lord.) I am not suggesting that the “OLD TIME SIN”
was better I am only saying that it was held in check at a
certain level, it included certain things as did the sin of
Jeraboam.
I can trace this through the whole Old Testament
and in the Prophets but I will stop here. Old time sin is
called in our day the long standing traditions of the Church
or a given denomination. The sin of most preachers and ministries
was not generally hailed in their day, but coupled with our
ungodly reverence of dead preachers and our slavish worship
of men’s words, sayings, and traditions, add a few hundred
years and you get an aura of mystique over this person or
ministry that none can resist to quote and or fall down and
worship these men and ministries and become their disciples.
The words of Wesley, Spurgeon, Finney, Moody, did not bear
the authority while they yet lived as they do a hundred or
so years after their deaths.
Romans 15:18-19 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath
not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient,
by word and deed, Through mighty signs and wonders, by the
power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round
about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of
Christ.
Why does Paul the
Apostle say that he dare not? The dare not implies that if
Paul would speak of what Christ did in others, or preached
what Christ had taught others there would be unwelcome consequences
– ie no mighty signs and wonders no power of the spirit of
God – So in his ministry Paul says by preaching what God wrought
in Paul and what Christ taught Paul he was fully preaching
the Gospel – Because the Gospel is what God has wrought in
you and taught you.
There
is more to the Apostles not just quoting from each other,
consider this we know that Paul the Apostle sat under the
feet of Gameliel – but yet Paul never says: “You know back
before I was saved Gameliel used to say . . . And it is so
true, I think Gameliel had some real truth and insight . .
.
Realize
that Paul knew the teachings of all the great Rabbis. He knew
probably every Jot and tittle in the Talmud but Paul never
quotes from any of that.
John
the Apostle had been a disciple of John the Baptist and other
than where The Apostle John felt that it was only necessary
to quote from John the Baptist as he identified Jesus as the
Christ, and John the Baptist sending disciples to verify before
Jesus was the Christ before his death. The Apostle John never
says: “You know when Jesus spoke on this John the Baptist
used to say this . . . And now that I look back to John the
Baptist I see that he really had some life changing truths
and insights and if it had not been for John the Baptist’s
teachings I probably would not be where I am today.”
John 5:33-36 Ye sent unto John, and he bare
witness unto the truth. But I receive
not testimony from man: but these
things I say, that ye might be saved. He was a burning and
a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice
in his light. But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the
Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do,
bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
It
appears that the Pharisees and the Priests and the Lawyers
sent to John the Baptist to verify whether Jesus was the Christ.
And it appears in this passage that that John indeed bore
witness that Jesus was the Christ. But Jesus does a most curious
thing here instead of embracing the witness of John, speaking
of the attesting witness of the Father with signs and wonders,
citing the Law of Moses “For out of the mouth of two and three
witnesses shall every word be established.” and then demanding
a just verdict from his hearers Christ backs away from what
would be asserted as his rights and privileges.
Instead laying claim to the kingdom Christ tells us that John the
Baptist – the greatest of all prophets testimony is stricken
on the basis that he is a man and all men are corrupt whether
thy are prophets believers or preachers.
Instead Christ MADE himself of no reputation – this was a continual
thing not just when he began preaching in Galilee. Jesus did
not hire promoters or Ad men. Jesus did not send runners before
him talking about a miracle ministry coming to town. Jesus
did not spend time reciting “His” healings and miracles in
order to build faith in his hearers. There was no professions,
no confessions and no one was claiming any promises. This
is not to say that in places Jesus found no faith – but he
could have preached and testified over that with his 12 witnesses
– instead Christ walked away from all those types of practices
and made himself of no reputation in other words every place
was the first place and the first time and what the father
was pleased to do was exactly what He was pleased to do. Jesus
did not preach that God owed every man healing deliverance
and material riches as is custom in our day. Israel did not come out to Christ like the
corrupt children in the wilderness demanding signs and wonders
and thus TEMPTING GOD.
Exodus 17:2 Wherefore the people
did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may
drink. And Moses said unto them, Why
chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
Deuteronomy
6:16 Ye
shall not tempt the LORD your God, as
ye tempted him in Massah.
Matthew 4:7 Jesus
said unto him, It is written again, Thou
shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Do you think
that Christ spent his time praying and demanding of God that
He heal and perform sign and wonders so that Jesus would look
good? Jesus spent all that time praying and waiting on God
because he lived in and walked in a continual relationship
with the Father.
1 Corinthians 10:9
Neither
let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were
destroyed of serpents.
Paul suggests here
that there were those in his day in the Church that tempted
Christ and were destroyed of serpents. What do you suppose
is happening in this day when the people are taught to demand
of God and tempt God. It is unseemly that a servant would
mouth of to his master and dictate what he expect his master
to do and not do for him.
Either such a person is not a servant at all or id
they are they shall be punished
Luke
12:47 And
that servant, which knew his Lord's will, (Which
all of our faith Pharisees boldly proclaim.) and prepared not himself, neither did according to His will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
What is Christ speaking
of here? What is Paul speaking of when he talks about believers
and churches being destroyed by serpents? You
have been severely lied to by preachers teachers and evangelists
and except that you repent and cry out to god for mercy and
cleansing you shall be made to be partakers of these ungodly
peoples sin and you will be cast into hell and destroyed with
them (the devil and all of his angles of light.)
And Jesus then ups the standard for him and his disciples – The witness
of the Father with him being pleased to bear witness with
sign wonders and diverse miracles. Jesus strips out for himself
and his disciples the possibility of our bearing witness of
ourselves and our ministries.
But I have greater witness than
that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me
to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that
the Father hath sent me.
With this body of verses spoken by Christ
and the Apostles we can clearly see one of the requirements
of ministry in the Ekklesia. It is not just required for the so-called power
ministries alone. Unlike what has been preached for the last
hundred or so years it was not just required of the Apostle
to have this kind of first hand knowledge of God, it was not
just required of the prophet, and it was not just required
of the evangelist.
This type of relationship with Christ was
required of the least unto the greatest of believers. We have
all been called to be kings and priests unto him. Not
to be kings and priests over each other. So in the Gospels
and Epistles we see that not only the “Power ministries” But
the pastor and teacher are required to have seen and handled
of this knowledge of God themselves before embarking in ministry.
The Church is in the state that it is exactly because of men
do not wait on God and do not come into a vital relationship
with him but instead they self-ordain themselves or receive
their ordination from other men.
If
Paul did not resort in his teaching to quoting from the Babylonian
Talmud and his renowned teacher Gameliel who was considered
the greatest of rabbi’s, then we should not quote from books
of worldly wisdom or corrupt bible scholars either. We should
also refrain from using the works of bygone preachers and
bible teachers. So
then what should we do to teach the word of God we should
use the Bible of Christ and the Bible of Paul the Apostle
and lay His word before Him day and night seeking illumination
of the Holy Spirit so that we could confess with them that
which our eyes have seen and our ears have heard concerning
the word of life – that speak we unto you.
2
Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the
number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves:
but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing
themselves among themselves, are not wise.
2 Corinthians 4:5
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and
ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
Paul
says here that we are not to preach ourselves – our names,
our ministries, our traditions.
So
many Evangelists and Preachers recount their personal experiences
of the power of God coming down upon them making themselves
the center of the event and receiving the praise and adoration
of men.
Their
words are in direct contradiction to what the Apostle John
said: “That which our eyes have seen, which out hands have
handled concerning the word of life”(That would be Christ)
that speak we unto you. In so doing these are all antichrist
because they put themselves and their ministries in the place
of Christ and receive adoration and praise of men in his place.
Note also Paul like Christ came not to be served or submitted
to but to be a servant even as Christ had.
1John1:1-3 “That which was from the beginning,
which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which
we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word
of life;
For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear
witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with
the Father, and was manifested unto us; That which we have
seen and heard declare we unto you.
John 3:11 “Verily, verily,
I say unto thee, we speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen .
. .”
Acts 4:20 For
we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
This lack of seeing, this lack of a first
hand knowledge of God’s power and the lack of personal experience
is exactly why some shun teaching on these subjects.
And I might add that this limitation of experience
of men causes them to preach and teach a limited and a stunted
Gospel. We are required to see Him, and to know Him, in order to be able teach
of Him.
1
Corinthians 2:12 Now (that) we have received . . . the
Spirit which is of God (in us) that we might (Have the possibility to) experience the things that are freely
given to us of God, which things also we speak . . .which
the Holy Ghost teacheth interpreting spiritual things to the
spiritual.
This
passage is speaking of experiencing something beyond looking
up words in Strong’s concordance, beyond finding something
in the notes in your Bible’s margin, beyond reading sermons
by DL Moody, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Finny, or John Wesley,
this is talking about opening a direct channel to hear from
God Himself. The question in this verse is: Not what did
you read in some book? Nor what have you been taught by a
man living or deceased? But
what have you spoken that the Holy Ghost taught you? If
we are at all to succeed in Christ we have to overcome the
filtering that we have been taught. God
has something more for us in this day and hour. Something
more than pre-packaged Church services and messages based
on the teachings of men from 15 generations ago.
Matthew
11:4 Jesus
answered and said unto them, Go and
shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
Here we catch Jesus commanding the
disciples of John to speak only that which they have seen
and heard.
Returning now to the First Adam and
the Garden. We were last speaking of How God loved the man
and set about a plan of redemption for him immediately. The
immediacy was necessary to prevent Adam and Eve from using
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to obtain the tree
of life and thereby enter into eternal death.
The
Man Adam when he was placed in the garden was to: Dress the
garden and to keep the garden
-- In particularly the man was charged with keeping
the way to the tree of life.
So
that upon his eviction The Lord sent in an angel to guard
the way of the tree if life to protect the tree of life from
it’s former protector.
We
need to understand The rest is that God in his mercy prevented
the man and eve from partaking of the tree of life –
Genesis 3:21-24 Unto Adam also and to his wife did
the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. And the
LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to
know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and
take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden,
to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out
the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims,
and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way
of the tree of life.
In
Genesis 3:21 Concerning that plan of redemption we see that
God covered them with the blood before they even left the
garden. When they were kicked out they were not forsaken God
still visited and spoke with them. God forward looking in
the Plan of redemption taught Adam and Eve that even though
they had sinned unto death they could still receive a measure
of forgiveness and covering through the sacrifice of animals
in their stead, the sacrifice was offered on an altar and
Adam and Eve communed with God on the meal and they took with
them the coats of skins when they left the garden. The coats
of skins were more than mere clothing they were a sign of
a covenant with God.
Do
we know what animal was slain and what kinds of skins God
clothed Adam and Eve with? I think we do. I think it was a
lamb and Adam and Eve and their offspring plodded the earth
dressed up as little sheep. How can I say this with any degree
of certainty?
Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
When
was the foundation of the world? Was it not just prior to
Adam and Eve leaving Eden and their loosing the chaotic order
of men in the world?
This
is followed up in the story of Cain and Able.
Able was a shepherd of what? Sheep. Able offers the
sacrifice as prescribed by God to Adam and Eve before
they are even tossed out of the garden. Able sacrifices
his Lamb on a stone altar as God had demonstrated, to his
parenets. Able probably communed with God that is he partook
of the sacrifice, and his sacrifice was accepted. Able did
not and his sacrifice was rejected. It has been preached for
centuries that Able invented the sacrifice and the Altar. But this is not true at all, and in order to understand this plan
of redemption and God’s love for men we need to see the Father
himself acting proactively in behalf of the stricken man and
his wife. And once we see this it changes all that we read.
2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency
of the power may be of God, and not of us.
That is to
say we are all of the red earth as Adam and within our clay
we have a hid treasure – I would say that is that each of
us is born with the pneuma of God within us that is the breath
of God that is our spirits and within man everyone knows God
in the just and unjust in the saved and unsaved. There has
been some discussion in the word of a God gene. Something
that draws men to morality and God. I believe that in the
evil corruption of the world that there will be those that
will attempt to cut out that gene (probably wrongly identified
as such) But who with surgery or worldly wisdom can remove
one’s conscience, even the spirit or breath of god that is
in him.
John
1:9 That
was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into
the world.
John the Apostle tells us that everyone is born with
that true light or breath of God
Man
has made it a business of preaching the Gospel to people intellects.
They have made it so that we are to persuade men and reason
with them that they might intellectually see the value of
salvation and following after God. All these are flat wrong
and this is why we have so many tares among us.
1 Corinthians 2:12-14 Now we have received, not the spirit
of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might
know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which
things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the
things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto
him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned.
Paul here is talking
about preaching and teaching in particular the preaching of
the Gospel to the lost is speaking spiritual things to that
spirit of the breath of God that is in another and if that
is touched within someone it will cause them to rise up and
follow after Christ as opposed to intellectual assent that
will only do things for convenience sake. One is seeking to
true conversion the other is going alone for personal reasons
without ever having any real change.
1 Corinthians 1:25-27 Because
the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness
of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren,
how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty,
not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish
things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen
the weak things of the world to confound the things which
are mighty;
What is
the foolishness of God? What is the weakness of God?
Is it not the earthen vessels that He chooses? Paul
speaks of that when he is weak he is strong Paul tells us
that Gods power is made perfect in weakness but the church
preaches and teaches the opposite.
In the day of the Apostles there were
not many wise man after the flesh – today the church is filled
with professional Levites that are highly educated with the
wisdom of the world and have received ordinations and degrees
of men.
In the Day of the Apostles there were
not many might among men today the church is filled with famous
athletes, Christian rock stars, Christian celebrities, Christian
captains of industry, etc. All of these are given place above
the laity.
In the days of the Apostles it was almost
unheard of that any of nobility were saved – that is because
they strictly followed Christ’s commandment that they were
to preach the Gospel the poor. In our day since the 1970’s
the church has made a concerted effort to preach the Gospel
to the rich and now to make all believers rich. And because
of this the church has signed its death warrant.
BUT GOD hath chosen the foolish things
of the world the poor the sick the lame the halt to confound
the wise BUT GOD hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the mighty.
And so I can say: Thus saith the Lord that the Lord shall
raise up another body, a body composed of the poor, the weak,
and the foolish, those who have not defiled their garments
with the love of the world and the things of the world. And
these shall confound that which has come to call itself the
Church. These shall be used to bring down this corrupt Church
that has exaulted itself above the stars of the heaven. And
lo this arrogant daughter shall be brought down and even ground
to powder before the Lord and cast to the four winds.
Isaiah 29:9-11
Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry:
they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not
with strong drink. For
the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep,
and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the
seers hath he covered. And the vision of all is become unto you as
the words of a book that is sealed, The
word “Deep Sleep” in the Hebrew is NABU – the NABU Spirit
of God. This same Nabu Spirit of God fell upon Adam and Eve
was spoken into existence This same Nabu spirit of God fell
upon Abram in a great fear of darkness.
The Hebrew
Interlinear reads thus: “Wait and wonder! Blind yourselves
and be blind. They are drunk but not with wine. They slip
but not with liquor. For (what) has poured out on you (is)
the Nabu spirit of Jehovah and it has closed your eyes. The
prophets and your heads the seers has He covered and the whole
vision has been to you the words of a sealed book
Exodus
4:10-11 And
Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither
heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but
I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said
unto him, Who hath made man's mouth?
or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind?
have not I the LORD?
The
same Lord that has the power to cause the blind to see has
the power to make those that see blind so seeing that they
may see not.
Mark 4:12 That seeing they
may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and
not understand; lest at any time they should be converted,
and their sins should be forgiven them.
John
16:25 –29 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs:
but the time cometh, when I shall
no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew
you plainly of the Father. At that day ye shall ask in my
name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father
for you: For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have
loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came
forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again,
I leave the world, and go to the Father. His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and
speakest no proverb.
God
keeps his truth hid to protect it. He doesn’t want it tampered
with, so he kept some things even hidden from his 12 Disciples
in parables and proverbs – where is this vast repository of
God’s wisdom in what we call wrongly the Old Testament.
Genesis
15:9-18 And He said unto him, Take Me an heifer of three years
old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three
years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. And he took
unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid
each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.
And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove
them away. And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and,
lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
Since I spent some time working on the above passage in the Greek
Septuagint some time ago I will include what I found in translating
it.
Genesis 15:12
Peri de eliou dusmas ekstasis epepese to Abram
kai Idou phobos skoteinos megas epipiptai auto
Genesis 15:12
And about sunset a trance fell upon Abram and lo! A great
gloomy terror falls upon him (Interlinear margin)
Genesis
15:12 Peri((Around
or about) de (and also) eliou (The sun) dusmas (the Setting [of the sun])
ekstasis (Hebrew the Nabu spirit
of God) (Literally Ecstasy To be beside oneself – one
that has been separated that is full of God, inspired or gifted
with power.) epepese (to fall upon) to (Yet) Abram kai
(and) Idou (Lo!) phobos (Fear, Terror) skoteinos (a shroud of darkness) megas (wonderful or powerful) epipiptai (To fall upon) auto (moved upon)
Genesis 15:12
Greek Translation: And about the setting of the sun a prophetic ecstasy fell upon Abram
along with the likeness of a terrifying great veil of darkness.
Genesis 15:
13-17 And the Lord said unto Abram, Know
of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that
is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict
them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall
serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with
great substance. And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace;
thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
So while Abram is engulfed with the Nabu spirit of God (GR.Ekstasis Prophetic Ecstasy) a dark veil of fearful
darkness comes over Abram and God begins to speak what was
to befall the Children of Israel.
As it was with Abram so is it with his children. Abram was called to be a stranger and a sojourner
in the land, and so shall they be. And even when Abram went
down to Egypt because of famine in a faithless act, so too
shall the children of Israel. And even as God had
bailed out Abram from bondage and death so God in the future
bails Israel out from bondage and death.
And as God lead Abram out of Egypt with spoils and
God shall also lead Israel out with spoils.
Now do you suppose that there is no relationship between
what Abram did and what happened to his family several generations
later? I think that Abram knew that the sins of his faithlessness
was carried down to his sons.
Do you suppose that what happened to Adam and Eve in the garden had
any bearing on what happened later with Cain and Able? I think
that Adam and Eve knew that their sins followed them out of
the garden and were carried down to their sons.
Just three generations later the Children of Israel were drawn to
Egypt by their faithlessness like their father had been. But they had not been left without witness.
You had better believe that Abram made known the word of the
Lord to Isaac and Even Jacob when he was a small child. And
if Abram cared for his children I am sure he gave them a warning
with the sternest admonition – whatever you do, do not go
down to Egypt. Not for flood, not for fire, and not for famine.
Do not go.
If God warned Adam and Eve in the garden “For in the day that thou eatest
thereof thou shalt surely die.” Adam and Eve had prophecy; they had a prophetic warning, which they
did not heed. They probably felt pretty special in the garden;
after all they were children of the king. And they may have
felt that if they did God would wink at their sin.
And maybe Abram was feeling pretty good with God showing up and promising
him a kingdom, wealth, divine protection, and as many decedents
as the sand of the sea. And
maybe Abram felt very special and that if he did sin God would
wink at it.
I’m here to tell you that there are a lot of Christians that are
feeling petty special these days; Laodicean special. Not because
they have had dreams and visions of God promising gifts and
ministries. Nor are they feeling pretty special because an
angel of the Lord appeared to them and told them that they
have been chosen for some special task. –
There have been no sign in the heavens no wonders, no voice from
heaven but there have been false preachers or false teachers
and false evangelists by the dozens telling these believers
that they can and need to love the things of the world and
Jesus will give it all to you. They have been told to the
can and need to love mammon and Jesus will make you rich beyond
your wildest dreams – and that He really wants to too. They
have been told that they can and need to make themselves disciples
of any man or denomination. They have been told that bad old
conviction is only for ungodly sinners and that any fear of
God is of the devil and best of all that our drinking buddy
Jesus has got us all covered wink wink so not to fear.
Jesus prophesied against every one of these very things – He warned
us against them all – and yet we take the persuasive arguments
and the craftiness of men over Christ’s own words to our peril.
Consider what Adam and Eve lost and consider now what you stand to
lose. The call that has gone out is not Christ’s “To
take up your cross and follow Him.”
The call
is clearly another gospel.
2 Corinthians 11:3-5 But I fear, lest by any means, as
the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds
should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have
not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have
not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted,
ye might well bear with him.
Paul saw or day and feared.
Galatians 1:6-8 I
marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you
into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not
another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert
the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached
unto you, let him be accursed.
Matthew
24:4-6 And
Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive
you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ;
and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars
and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things must come to pass, but
the end is not yet.
Christ saw our
day and warned of people preaching and teaching all manner
of Gospels in his name and deceiving many that
is to say that in our day he saw most “believers” as deceived
tares.
Christ foresaw that all the work the church has done for the last hundred
or so years to be accepted and loved by the world shall fail.
– We are not there yet.
Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you
up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated
of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be
offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one
another.
Christ foresaw a day when in the Church because of such deep abiding
sin and iniquity that the love of many of the beleivers would
wax cold – We are not there yet.
Matthew 24:12
And because iniquity shall abound,
the love of many shall wax cold.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness
unto all nations; and then shall the end come
As unlikely as this sounds;
the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Apostles shall be restored
and preached in all the world for a witness with all signs
all wonders. And those that preach this shall be slain for
their witness. And in the book of Revelation we read of their
number 144,000. In our day the church has become the largest
mission field in the
earth boasting 3-4 billion members.
144,000 does not lend itself to one man for every church
to turn the hearts of the children back to their father for
there are hundreds of thousands of corrupt churches all over
the earth,. It is two witness to a city, a county, or a region
and all the lost believers that are contained therein.
What is it going to be
144,000 John the Baptists crying out to a stiff necked heard
hearted unrepentant people saying repent for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand. It is like the day of the Apostles when
they went to the Jews first and then preached to the gentiles
so I see these preachers of righteousness going into churches
and preaching repentance and the power of God some shall indeed
repent but most won’t and most shall seek to drag these out
of their churches and have them slain. And I see that after
the church rejects the Gospel these preachers shall turn to
the lost particularly the poor the sick the lame the halt
and shall perform great signs and wonders as witness against
the corrupt churches and their followers.
And only after the Lord
has sent out his prophets and holy men and this generation
takes the fullness of the blood on the hands of their fathers
for slaying the prophets and the apostles and believers throughout
all time – then shall the end come and the final judgment
of the evil and corrupt church.
