Iran To Launch Large-Scale Military Maneuvers (August 19^th)

This is more towards the date of August 22, 2006 that the president of Iran threatened he would light up the night sky over Jerusalem. In this speech the president of Iran made reference to Saladin one of their last great caliph and a miracle said to have occurred over Israel when he entered those lands. Note that Saddam Hussein also claimed to be the heir of Saladin.

This threat of lighting up the skies over Jerusalem is the reason for Israel suddenly ending the war in Lebanon and pulling out. So that if Iran does attack it will be completely without provocation.

Right now in Iraq and Israel and Afghanistan all US, British, Iraqi, and Israeli forces will be on the highest state of alert

One more note – the insurrection that is occurring in Baghdad is a ruse to divert US forces from being other places – it is a gathering of them – we may well see here the big explosion that was promised some 6 to 9 months ago.

Pray that this will fail. Pray that Iran and this leader shall be brought down. Pray for all our brave troops that God will watch over them and protect them.

Iran's state television today said the military would launch a series of large-scale exercises on August 19.

State television quoted army deputy commander General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani as saying that the upcoming maneuvers "aim at introducing Iran's new defensive doctrine."

Ashtiani reportedly said the exercises would involve both ground and air forces and would go on "for an unspecified period of time."

Addressing reporters at a news briefing on August 16, Ashtiani said the war games would take place in West and East Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Baluchestan va Sistan, and Khorasan provinces.

Most of those peripheral provinces also have large ethnic minority groups.  

Iran's Interior Ministry this week said security patrols along the country's borders would be reinforced in a bid to counter the activity of drugs smugglers.
