The Word of the Lord
Came unto me in the Night
There was a man of God that went
forth to teach the flock of the Lord. And the words that he
spoke were sweet to taste and pleasing to his hearers. Always
he spoke uplifting and encouraging words, and he directed
those who were sent unto him of entering in to a life of worship,
of being changed by entering in to the presence and anointing
of God. Gentle were this man’s words, and never from
his lips went forth a word of rebuke, correction, or chastisement
to his hearers.
Over the years this man built
himself a great house and many were his hearers.
In his daily teachings seldom did this man of God mention
Jesus Christ. Seldom did this man mention redemption by the
blood of Jesus Christ, and seldom did he teach the scriptures,
the words of Christ or the words of the apostles.
Never did he speak of sin for
that was negative. Never did he speak of repentance for that
might have made his hearers commit to something they did not
really believe. Never did he speak of the coming judgment,
hell, or the eternal damnation that is to come to all who
obey not the words and commandments of Jesus Christ and
the Father – because he rejected those things as being
impossible for a loving God to do.
If therefore this man met Jesus
Christ and took Him in as his disciple, after sitting under
such a corrupt man how do you suppose Jesus Christ would have
taught in Gospels?
Consider here the word of the
Lord and ask how the man of God you sit under would measure
up to making Jesus Christ his disciple – and what in the Gospels
would Jesus Christ be able to teach having come forth from
the man of God you sit under?
John
5:38-44 Ye have
not his word abiding in you: for whom He (God) hath sent,
Him (Christ’s
words and commandments)
ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think
ye have eternal life: and (But) they are they which testify of me. And (But even knowing
this) ye will not
come to me, (And abide with me)
that ye might have life. I receive not honour
from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love (Agape) of God in
you. I am come in my
Father's name, and ye receive me not: (Will not repent and abide with me as my disciple) if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.(And abide with him and become his disciple) How can ye believe, which receive honour
(of
men) one of another, and seek not the honour
that cometh from God only?
Compare this now to the words of Jesus Christ spoken here:
Matthew 11:27-32 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever
the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are
heavy laden, (By the doctrines and traditions of men that would disciple
you to themselves, that which men teach offers no rest and
no comfort to your soul)
and I will give you rest.(My words and commandments are spirit and life and as such
are able to give you peace, rest, and comfort to your weary
soul) Take my yoke upon you, (Willingly humble and submit yourselves by placing
yourselves under the yoke of My words and commandments) and learn of me;(Becoming my true disciple) for I am meek and lowly in heart: (So you will learn
to receive not the honor of men, but the honor that cometh
only from God) and (In so walking as I so walk and in so speaking as I speak) ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, (Obedience to My words and commandments is
liberating) and my burden is light. (And coming to know
the truth that I speak shall set you free.)
