We have before us today one of the
most abused texts concerning marriage and women’s position in the household
– We seek here to be able to pry open the blind eyes of both husbands
and wives that they may see a little bit – and perhaps graciously afford
some much needed change. Ephesians 5:21 Submitting (Upo-Tasso-Menoi [First we need to note that this word is in “Present Tense” which denote that
the action here is “Continual” as
in: “From this time forth,” So that Paul is speaking here to the Ephesians
of change within how they are enacting the submission of a wife to a
husband] And we will add here that this word is in the “Masculine” gender
so that Paul here is addressing husbands. Upo [Nominative] Is an agreeing
to, or willingly putting oneself under another, Tasso To arrange oneself to, To devote
oneself to, To make someone your pursuit, To dispose oneself to another
[This is a dispossessing in order to gain] – Menoi-Meno While the Greek Lexicon defines this as “To Abide"
or "To Dwell" or “To Lodge” The word Meno is “This word is much more for it is “An Abiding” where one comes under the
rule, or influence, of whom one abides with.
Here Paul defines marriage as being a Upo-Tasso relationship
in which you continually subordinate yourself, by putting your partner
above yourself, devoting yourself to them [rather than being to object
of devotion] so that they are your pursuit, [rather than making yourself
the pursuit] and this is done here by a husband walking in his Meno authority, rule, or influence over the
other, -- As Christ walked in his Meno over the Apostles fir 3.7 years.) Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, --(This was the Meno of Him)
making himself of no reputation, and
--(This was the Meno of Him) taking
upon him the form
of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in
fashion as a man, --(And
this was the Meno of Him) He
humbling himself, and becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (For the love that
was set before Him, even the Church. So is the true meno of a husband
for a wife.) Paul begins here by stating that this Upo-Tasso-Meno of a “Submission of humility” is to be
first partaken by the husband unto wife before this is ever to take
place with the wife unto husband. The Upo-Tasso-Meno Paul speaks of here is one of being Christ
like – Where are the passages where Christ demands a forced submission
unto himself? Where are the passages that Christ demands and threatens
obedience of his disciples? The most definitive verse on the subject
of relations between him and the church is where Christ said: I have
come not to be served, but to serve. Years ago there were many articles
on servant-hood and humility this has faded as arrogance in many areas
of the church has been declared to be spiritual, and nowhere has this
un-Christ-like arrogance been more felt than in the Christian household.
There is a war throughout the church between men forcibly seeking
for their wives to submit unto them and in feminized wives forcibly
seeking for their husbands to submit unto them. Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman (In this case every
Upo-Tasso-Meno husband) buildeth her (his) house: but the foolish (Fool of a husband)
plucketh (Greek: Kate-Skaphe – Kate
a descending or downward motion
Skapto To dig or excavate) it down with her (Hands) hands. (Greek: Che-R-Sin,
Che-Cheilos- Lips,
R-Reo A running sore, or A morbid flux,
Sin-Sun With or Accompanied with) This is the tearing down of one’s household with the running sore of
one’s tongue. It is the railings,
and revilings of forced submission either by a husband or wife. Mark 12:1-2 And He (Christ) began
to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and
set an hedge about it, and digged a place
for the winefat, and built a tower, and let
it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. And
at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant,
that He might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the
vineyard. (The truth is that
the household that a husband has is not his own but the Lord’s, the
household the husband has been entrusted to him by Christ. And the Lord lets the man run this household
as he wills however the Lord comes periodically to received of the Husband
man the fruit that is due Him And if the Lord finds that this husband
has been abusing his position and privilege by verbally and or physically
abusing the Wife and Children this man has been entrusted with --) Verse 9 What shall therefore the Lord of the vineyard do?
He will come and destroy the
husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. This occurred in Scripture with Abigail who had a husband of belial from whom she had not children and God destroyed her
husband and gave his household unto David. We want to point out here as we have spoken
of elsewhere Christ walked in all that He spoke first – before He preached
it unto His disciples and others. Here clearly Paul is declaring that
husbands need to walk in Upo-Tasso-Meno before they preach it to others, even the
others of their own household. Ephesians 5:21 (Husbands) Submitting (Upo-Tasso-Meno) yourselves one to another (To their wives) in the fear of God. (This is a fear of God’s judgment
as the severest judgment falls upon any high-priest who would pervert
His office of teaching of the word of God by either word or action in
the household of God.) We need to see clearly that the Upo-Tasso
that Paul is speaking to wives in verse 22 is different than he spoke
to husbands in verse 21. Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit
( Upo-Tass-Esth-E, Upo- [Nominative] Agreeing To or To willingly put oneself under another, Tasso To arrange oneself to, to devote
oneself to, to make someone your pursuit, to dispose oneself to another
[This is a dispossessing in order to gain] – Esth-Estho – To Eat or To drink To Feast
or to Banquet [However this particle word is Masculine which denotes that this is a feeding of the male, E-Eu Joyously. Paul here declares
wives need to also Upo-Tasso continually, that is to subordinate yourself,
by putting your partner above yourself, devoting yourself to them [rather
than being to object of devotion] so that they are your pursuit, [rather
than making yourself the pursuit] , Paul also speaks that this relationship
is a Eu-Estho one, One in which the wife joyfully
and joyously feeds and gives drink to her husband and makes herself a joyous feast and banquet unto him. Proverbs
8:30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with
him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him. Prov 5:15,18 (Here is this eating and drinking and feasting
and banqueting)
Drink waters out of thine
own cistern, and running waters out of thine
own well. -- Let thy fountain be blessed: and (Continually) rejoice with
the (Joyous and joyful) wife of thy youth. David Prayed The marital bed is the Holy of Holies in
marriage. When the marriage is no longer is Eu-Estho there the marriage withers and eventually dies. I am not writing to small children each of you know how Paul
again and again and again compares the relationship of Christ and the
church to the husband and his wife. Holy Communion is supposed to be one of the
most intimate experiences that we can have with Christ upon earth When Holy Communion is abused, misused, or
disused, Paul declares: 1 Corinthians
11:29-30 For he that
eateth and drinketh
unworthily, eateth and drinketh
damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For
this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. (This is the result of the withering away of the joy that God
gave unto the sons of men.) Weakness, Sickness and Death (Both physically
and spiritually)
is the result of forced submission in the household whether is from
an abusive husband or a feminized wife the results are the same -- the sundering of the household and
God withholding the husbands and wife’s prayers. True submission
is a placing one’s self under
one’s husband exactly as we would do with Christ and thereby are we
joined unto Christ as His sheep and His disciple. likewise
a wife is to do so join herself to her husband. Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit
( Upo-Tass-Esth-E) yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. In noting
the difference between the words that Paul using between the husbands
and the wives, we find that the wives are also Upo-Meno-ing
their husbands Psalm
37:7 (Septuagint) They that wait upon Upo-Meno the Lord (Their
Husband as Sarah who called her husband Lord) shall
inherit the land. (This inheriting of the land involves obedience to the first commandment
that God gave to man – Commandment 00001 To be fruitful and multiply.) In order
to further possess the land after Moses and Joshua departed the Households
of Many cry out for spiritual gifts and operations
and to be used of God -- while all the time they despise the
gifts and calling that God has given unto them in marriage and therefore
Ye have not
because ye ask amiss. And as Christ taught in the Lord’s Prayer: Forgive US
as WE forgive those who trespass against US. As YOU have not forgiven the
one the Lord has given unto YOU, You can not receive any forgiveness
or healing or deliverance from the Lord. 1 Peter
3:7 Likewise,
ye husbands, dwell with them (Your wives) according to knowledge, giving honour
unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together
of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. In Ephesians 5:21-22 Paul in using the word Upo-Tasso is
citing the position that Adam had over his wife from the beginning.
It is to be understood both in the New Testament and in the Old Testament
as a statement of Adam being called to redeem the woman both in marriage
and the bearing of children. 1 Timothy
2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing,
if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. (Bible
believing Christians as a whole are mystified by this verse and can
not reconcile it with their man made doctrines of “Salvation” and “Justification
by Faith” both of which ignore any commandments of God and Christ and
declare that at men’s say so –the confession of their corrupt lips all
the commandments of God and Christ are made null and void – and therefore
this verse is lined out along with hundreds of other verses that don’t
lines up with these men’s selective beliefs.)
Christ declared that all that was not fulfilled in the garden of Eden would be fulfilled by the church and in particular
the church of the last days. This is why the enemy is preemptively seeking
to destroy the household beginning in the early 1980’s as of 1995 evangelical
believers now have 60% divorce rates –The enemy is seeking to get the
church to abort itself. This must cease. The withering of the Joy of
men needs to stop. Lest there shall be no flesh in the church left to
save. Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit
( Upo-Tass-Esth-E) yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Paul in here is defining
this redemption of women as not just Upo-tasso-ing their husbands but to this Paul adds Eu-Estho – this eating and drinking and feasting and banqueting [On
the bed of Coite] is done to create
the entity that Adam and Eve could not in the garden that is the container
we know as the Household or the Household of Faith into which God shall
pour his seed. In the End time in Scripture
it is declared that out of the Ek-Klesia shall come forth a new entity never before seek by men and that is the Ek-Lektos of Christ (The light-beams or outshining of Christ.) Paul here is causing us
to know that the Upo-Tasso he is speaking of to the wife is an entering into her husband’s
fold, a created of household so that she might be redeemed in childbirth,
and continue in that redemption under the Meno of her husband rule desire wishes and wants overseeing and
training up their children to do likewise. Psalm
47:3-4 He
(My Husband) shall subdue Upo-Tasso the people (Household) under us, and the nations under our feet. -- He shall choose
our inheritance (Fruitfulness and redemption) for us, Psalm 62:1-2 Truly my soul waiteth Upo-Tasso upon God: (In this case my husband – Wives love your husbands as unto Christ.) from Him (My husband) cometh my salvation. (Through my being redeemed by marriage, childbirth etc.) He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. (From being Upo-Tasso-ed to Him)Psalm 62:5-6 My soul, wait Upo-Tasso thou only upon God; (My Husband) for my expectation (Upo-Monos My release from the subjection of aloneness barrenness and fruitlessness) is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved. (From being Upo-Tasso-ed to Him)Psalm
144:1-2 Blessed be the LORD (My husband) my strength which teacheth
my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress;
my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust;
who subdueth Upo-Tasso my people (Household) under me. Paul here is not suggesting the “Godhood” of man, (Which we have an article on
this site in which we speak expressly against) rather
Paul is saying here that Christian husbands are taking the duties that
were bestowed upon Adam from the beginning with his wife. Paul here
is defining the ministry and calling of Marriage – which he declares
mirrors the ministry and call of Christ and the Church. Deuteronomy
6:10-12 And
it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the
land (The household) which he sware
unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, (That the Lord might)
to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst
not, And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst
not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst
not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst
not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
(This was the path
the Church was supposed to walk in by obeying commandment 00001 –This
was to be a discipline of the nations by they fruit of the womb) Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which
brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
(The house of the
serpent – to which the church made with hands
has returned to for their sustenance.) Deuteronomy
8:9-10 A land
(Household) wherein thou shalt eat
bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack
any thing in it. -- When thou hast eaten (Estho) and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land (Household) which he hath given thee Ephesians 5:23-26
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head
of the church: and he is The Saviour of the
body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives
be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love (Agape in the Greek Septuagint
is defined as a deep seated love from the seat of out desires. So that
in the Greek Septuagint Agape is used both for our love of God and for
sexual love between an man and his wife. So
that here we might better render this as; Husbands be
lovers of ) your wives, (As Isaac did Rebekah) (and) even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (With all his heart soul mind
and strength – Christ withheld nothing of himself from His bride the
Church. He forsook all including
his inheritance of the throne of David, all of the riches and kingdoms
of this world. And instead he gave His very body to redeem her. And
inso doing made her a direct partaker to all
his heavenly riches and the gifts and operations of the Spirit. That He might sanctify (So like Christ a husband should
seek to sanctify -- to redeem his wife in the fulfilling Commandment
00001) and (Thereby) cleanse it (her body) with the washing of water,
by the word, (By
the word that was spoken in the
law and the prophets) What is
Paul citing here in “this washing by the word” you may ask? In Scripture
a part of this husband’s love of his wife, the seeing to her unhindered
growth towards him, and the building of their household unto God. And we will
add here that as part of a husbands power as the household’s high priest,
God has granted the Husband also certain rights and authority one power
being that when his wife makes religious and secular vows or any pacts
regarding him, their household and God or the world, he can annul these
before God and men. Numbers 30:3-4, 12-13 3 If a woman
also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her
father's house in her youth; 4 And her father
hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her
father shall hold his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and
every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. 12But
if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them;
then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning
the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void;
and the LORD shall forgive her. 13Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her
husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void. This is
exactly what Christ as our bridegroom. When we ask amiss, and vow amiss,
He breaks our vows and pacts and rebukes reproves and corrects us. And when we entrench ourselves in sin and selfishness
not following him, he comes and saves us and delivers us and puts our
feet back on the path or righteousness. And when we ask in sin, and
we ask in unrighteousness, He does not grant our prayers and when He
does so we repent and seek his face and so a wife is to do likewise
unto her husband. When the Pharisees came to Christ and complained how is it that He could
say He could forgive sins, for only God could forgive sin. Christ responded
whether it was easier for Him to say Rise up and walk or thy sins be
forgiven. It must be remembered that the Pharisees themselves could not heal and received
no healing from Christ. And again and again and a gain Christ sent those
that were healed to them and this over time was maddening to them because
they in no way were going to submit and repent to the Messiah because
the Messiah in their mind was to come out of their midst. So that if
only this messiah would bow and submit to their authority and dictates
then he would be have been accepted. – But this would have been only on a toleration
basis, and as soon as he stopped making the Pharisees and their traditions
and doctrines look good – that is to laud exalt and praise them before
men they would have had to have taken Him out as all the prophets before
Him. And we see this exact behavior
from the corrupt Talmudized church throughout
church history. Irregardless of church ministry or denomination when
God’s Spirit falls on something apart for the Levies and Pharisees the
Levites and Pharisees begin by sending their representatives in “To just keep and eye on things”
and
after a short while they well attempt to wine and dine and buy out who
they can offering them prestigious and notoriety if they would just
allow them some say in the proceedings. This is the very reason why Abraham had to leave his father and And certainly in the Church of this hour, no church, no denomination, no
ministry and no pastor or no teacher want to relinquish any of their
self-perceived self-appointed rights and privileges to any one apart
from one of their own self-anointed – to some God chosen God anointed
unindoctrinated outsider that will not bow the knee to their authority
and dictates. So when God anoints, when God empowers, and
when God moves outside of them the so that it can not be ignored – these
churches denomination and ministries seen out first their emissaries,
they attempt to wine and dine those whom God has anointed, and when
that fails they use the full power of their vast resources to conduct
full warfare and doctrinally attack, call into question if God was in
this ever. To try to shake out all who could be shaken
out, and once that has gone as far as that can and we have abundant
evidence of all of this throughout the last 1800 years or so of church
history They will go into final solution mode to exterminate and blot
out all every anointed joint that makes this thing function.
And we can say the same thing here of these Christian Levites and Pharisees that all their
evil, perverse, and self-serving have somehow to appear being Holy and
Sanctified. Because Christian Levites and Pharisees
can never afford to lose face before their bible believing constituents. And so likewise as their fathers the Levites
and Pharisees at the time of Christ these resort to the dishonest redefinition
of words, of creating out of whole cloth doctrines and far reaching
edicts based upon tortured bits and pieces of bible verses they can cobble together, along with self-perceived,
self-appointed, and self-anointed, traditions all of which aid them
in what could not be righteously taught or proclaimed to help them gain,
and consolidate, and hold power, over the common Jews. Hence is the
term spoken of these in Revelation as The Nicolaitanes.” – For the Church
belongs to Christ Alone. She is not theirs, and Christ Has never given
His bride into these Christian Levites and Pharisees corrupt and filthy
hands that they do her as they please and mar and defile her with spot
and wrinkle. So returning now to our main thought, in the Law of Moses Christ’s power
to heal and forgive the sins of Jews is on the basis of Numbers Chapter
30. For the Daughter of Israel
is Christ’s betrothed Bride and the Basis of which He can heal Gentiles
is on the basis that all children all the seed belong to the Lord. And
thus in the Church Christ as the head of that household is set in as
the healer and one who can forgive their sins, and so also from the
same passage in Numbers 30 When the husband who is truly ruling and
by this we also mean rightly ruling over his household, He has the God
given authority to release, to forgive and to heal all in His household
that is his wife, his son, his daughters, his menservants his maidservants
and even the stranger that dwells with him, and within this we see that
the husband has also the power to forgive their sins as well. 1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them (Your wife) according to knowledge. Giving honour unto the (your) wife, as unto the weaker vessel, (Giving more honor to the weaker vessel – as defined in 1 Corinthians 12:21-23) and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. 1
Corinthians 12:21-23 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, (Peter declares that neither can the Husband can not say to
his wife nor even unto any of his household) I have no need of
thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem (To our natural eye and our natural understanding) to be more feeble,
(Weaker vessels) are necessary (To God’s will and purposes in your life. The household is
Most Holy unto the Lord and if he is to dwell any place upon
earth with men, the household is the place where He will do so. In Scripture
salvation comes to households not buildings, and the Lord visitations
generally involve households. And we can see in scripture that it is
within households where God works on people’s lives with the greatest
depth and precision.) And those members
of the body, which we think to be less honourable,
upon these we bestow more abundant honour;
and (upon) our (more) uncomely parts
(we bestow upon them) have more abundant
comeliness. Mark
10:42-45 But
Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them,
Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise
lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great
among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the
chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even
the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and
to give his life a ransom for many. We know that when Christ spoke the following passage
that he was applying it to His apostles and disciples regarding after
his absence how they were to shepherd his flock. We know that this passage
also carries within it a strong exhortation that the church is not view,
think, or act in anyway superior to the unsaved and this goes especially
in the Talmudic practice of created two sets of laws; a liberal set
for Talmudic Jews, and a damning set for Gentiles and apostates. And
despite that the teachers, preachers, and the church as a
whole have disregard this with their own doctrines and traditions that
allow them to rule with impunity and to justify what they wish to extract
what they wish to exact from who ever they deem below them in the food
chain. And this same Talmudic septic poison is in the Christian Marriage
with bible thumpers beating and abusing whosoever they believe is below
them in the food chain. The way this game is played is the Husband if
he is to some degree recognized as “a man of God” He is in the drivers
seat and his wife is to submit, “to heel like a dog” and if the husband
does not walk with the Lord with any degree the Woman is in the drivers
seat and her unregenerate or unspiritual husband is to heel like a dog.
Ephesians 5:27 That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having
spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and
without blemish. (It
is Christ and the husband that have the duty to present their wives
and households before the Lord without spot and wrinkle Salvation as
we have mentioned previously is not given to churches denominations
or ministries but unto households, their children, their servants and
the strangers that dwell with them and in the case of Abraham and the
nameless selfless servant and the maidservants that dwelled in the tent
of Sarah that instructed young Rebekah in the faith we see that Abraham
was indeed faithful in all his house -- .) Numbers 12:7 My servant Moses is not
so, who is faithful in all mine house. 1
Samuel 2:35
And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in
mine heart and in my mind: and I will build
him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed
for ever. 1
Samuel 22:14 Then Ahimelech
answered the king, (Saul) and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David,
which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable
in thine house? Matthew 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household Ephesians 5:28-29
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. (This statement is in utter contradiction to the
Talmud where a man cannot touch, wash deal with any infestations on
himself anywhere below the waist and above his ankles – in church men
and women are to cleanse and care for their bodies )
29For no man
ever yet hated his own flesh; (Except Talmudic Jews, Talmudic Christians, and Talmudic Islamists
all hate their own bodies and all hate their women.) but (All Christians should) nourisheth (Greek Ek-trephei “Ek” out from and away from, “Trephei” - to nourish and to promote health and strength, – Hence Ek-trepei is a “separated” nourishing and bonding that is to occur between
the husband and wife alone. The
truth is that for most “spiritual” Christian woman they do most of their
“nurturing and bonding” with their “Pastor” their “Teacher,” their “Song Leader” and their
“Male and “Female Spiritual Peers.” And the Lord would say unto them
that they have committed multiple and repeated adulteries. For as they
can not and will not disciple themselves unto Christ and Christ alone
but have become adulteresses discipling themselves
to their many lovers that nurture and pamper them. So also they can
not and will not disciple themselves unto their husband, and their husband
alone but are adulteresses and disciple themselves to many other lovers
that nurture and pamper them. and cherisheth (Greek Thalpai To impart warmth.) Proverbs
26:20 (Septuagint) Where there is much wood there the imparting of passionate warmth (Greek Thalpai) becometh a fiery inferno,
but where there is not (much wood) passion and living peaceably give way to disputes
and fighting. It would seem that from this
passage that Paul declares: Agapeo
seeketh not her own.
Paul now confirms that the word he used in the Greek for
cherisheth (Thalpai)
is in the context of conjugal relations |
