How far have things fallen since the days when this article was written?  When I was a young child the things written below were still considered the norm in American society. During the early 1960’s, I saw these things in practice in the homes of many of my friends both very rich and poor. Dinner with a time of the family sitting around the table, the husband in the evening relaxing with his slippers on while sitting in the den was not uncommon, the household being a friendly, clean, and nurturing place.

Today even in Christian households there are few that capture such feeling.

We are not presenting this guide as biblical, but rather something to read and reflect upon, and to consider. The idea that in 1950’s and 1960’s an unsaved woman could be so selfless – is unthinkable in this day.  That unsaved women could be such mothers, such housewives, and such loving, humble, submissive, and devoted wives, to their husbands the love of their lives – how could this be?

These were days where divorce was almost unheard of, and looked greatly down on.

Today believers have divorce rates at almost 60%, why has this happened? What has so greatly changed in a single generation to the place that today a devoted wife, housewife, and a mother is almost unheard of -- and greatly looked down on today? The answers can be found in an article posted in this section called the “Gay Liberation Manifesto” in this article was outlined not only the homosexual agenda, but the agenda for Woman’s Liberation aka Feminism, the tenets of which have entered the school systems, the news media, film and television, local and federal legislation, and in the church (Just as it is spelled out in the Gay Liberation Manifesto.)

Deuteronomy 32:20 And He said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

2 Samuel 22:26-28 With the merciful Thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man Thou wilt shew thyself upright. With the pure Thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward Thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury. And the afflicted people Thou wilt save: but Thine eyes are upon the haughty, that Thou mayest bring them down.

Psalm 18:25-27 With the merciful Thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; With the pure Thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward Thou wilt shew thyself froward. For Thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.

Psalm 101:3-5 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work (The writings, teachings, and sayings) of them that turn aside; it (Their works of unrighteousness) shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer(heed).

Proverbs 2:11-15 Discretion (Discernment) shall preserve thee, (Spiritual) understanding shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; (This so describes the generation of this day and hour)Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

This is a generation that has made an art form of teaching people to be haughty and forward. Haughtiness and forwardness today is considered honorable and being an important lifestyle and life choice. If this were only an issue with the unsaved it would not trouble me so, it is that these things are taught, nurtured, and encouraged in contemporary Christian teaching among bible believing and Spirit-filled believers that has me so burdened. No matter how we dress these things up and no matter how we want to Christianize these perverse behaviors – we have to know that the Lord hates those that are haughty and froward, God hides himself from those that that are haughty and froward, and that God will cut off the haughty and forward.
