Prophetic Ministry
If one were to type in the words “Prophetic Ministry” into Google, one
would see there are 454,000 websites that all lay claim to some
level of expertise in the gift of prophecy and or the ministry
of prophet.
It would seem that today everyone
and his brother claims to be a prophet. This is of great concern,
as these are also in one way or another,“cashing in on it,” whether they are traveling
from church to church as a pay for prophet, or they are offering
a series of elaborate “money making” seminars on how to prophesy
and become a prophet.
Others are offering, for those that
are more budget minded, “Cut rate priced”
online training on how to prophesy and become a prophet, complete
with handy-dandy study guides, and presumably some kind of prophetic
certificate when one has completed their course offerings.
Still others want to invite you
to come on down to their local church where, after you give
them “a few small donations,” they can cause you to be
“activated prophetically.”
They some how reach deep into you and pull this out, in only
the most “non-pressured atmosphere,” whatever that might all
mean.
And then, there are those, seemingly
without number that are “pay
for” online prophets and prophetesses that for a
few bucks will prophesy any gift, any ministry, or any kind
of blessing over the payee.
When looking over all of these websites,
the wares they sell in the form of books, teaching CD’s, Seminars,
and the like, it would seem that
anyone that has money can learn to prophesy and become a prophet.
And anyone that does not, is on their own, and will not receive
the endorsement, backing, or recognition of these 454,000 prophets
and prophetesses and the ministries they represent.
When these things are written this
way; people that normally accept the word of any man, any woman,
or any ministry believing that these are prophetic mouth pieces
of God at their own say so. One should be cautious in their
just off the cuff accepting these things and people a face value,
one should take great pause before entrusting their life, their
calling, and money in just anyone that declares they prophesy,
they are a prophet of God, they are a prophetess of God, and
or they have some kind of prophetic ministry.
The notion that one can pay in order
to receive a gift or calling should be utterly repugnant
to any true believer in Jesus Christ. The concept of
a "so-called" Prophet or Prophetess or a "so-called"
Prophetic Ministry selling spiritual
gifts and spiritual callings so that one can learn how to prophesy,
or come into the ministry of prophet, is unscriptural, to say
the very least.
And yet this is exactly what is
being done by all of these prophetic ministers and ministries
to the tune of Prophetic Ministry adding up to over a one
billion dollar industry per year. As we partake of
this fetid pool, we corrupt ourselves before God, even as those
who do such things are corrupt.
Jesus spoke of these when He said Ye
have made my house a den of theives.
This
abomination before God of taking His gifts and His ministries
and using them for personal profit, for financial gain, for
money making opportunities, is something that first occurred
during the latter rain revival among the tent evangelists, and
has now reached epidemic proportions.
Prophecy,
the ministry of the prophet, and the gifts of the Spirit through
these have become utterly defiled before the Lord, and a stench
in His nostrils. These evil and perverse workings are the heart
and soul of what we have written of as being the fullness of
the gentiles.
These works are indeed blasphemy
of the Holy Ghost. In numerous articles we have explained that
Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is attributing the workings of the
Holy Ghost to the devil – here the workings of the Holy Spirit
are being bought and sold so as to make them earthly and sensual,
like buying or selling pork bellies on the mercantile exchange,
or buying a long neck Budweiser in a bar, or like buying crack
from some corner drug dealer.
One should take great pause here,
and consider the anger and wrath of God against those who have
done such in the word of God,
Acts 8:9-22 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same
city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving
out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed,
from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great
power of God. (We must declare here that there are those
who claim to have the gift of prophecy, and to be prophets and
prophetesses of God are those that speak from an unclean spirit,
there are those that speak from a spirit of divination, and
there are those that prophesy out of their own hearts and souls.
Precious little that is spoken forth in this day and hour is
in fact TheWord of The Lord.)
And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had
bewitched them with sorceries. But when they believed Philip
preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God,
and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and
women. Then Simon himself
believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip,
and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
(Simon believed,
Simon was baptized in water, Simon sat at the feet of Philip
and heard his teaching, and during this time there was born
a worm in Simon’s still corrupt soul, a worm of what financially
he could do with such power as opposed to what he formerly did
using sorcery) Now
when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria
had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and
John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they
might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet He was fallen upon
none of them: only they were baptized [In water] in the
name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them,
and they received the Holy Ghost. And
when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands
the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give
me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive
the Holy Ghost. (Here now the worm
in Simon speaks: I want to buy with money this power of God
that I may confer on whom I will these gifts of the Spirit,
and these Spiritual ministries. [For profit].) But Peter said unto him, (Understanding full well from Simon the evil
intent of the worm within his heart) Thy
money perish with thee, (Peter here prophesies by the unction of the Holy One a curse
of death on Simon, the same curse that Jesus Christ prophesied
on money and the wealthy in the Gospels.) because thou hast thought that the gift of
God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor
lot in this matter: (Thou shalt
never receive even the baptism of the Holy Ghost – or shall
be accounted among the lot of those that follow our teachings
and doctrine.) for thy heart is not right (Is evil) in the sight of God.
In
the above passage we see that those that would seek to buy or
purchase the gifts and operations of the Holy Spirit were CURSED
WITH DEATH both them and their money. (Take
note of this you who have sold your souls for the prosperity
Gospel.)
Acts
8:24 (Being
filled now with fear) Then
answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the LORD for me, (Note he did not
seek repentance) that none of these things which ye have spoken
come upon me. (Note that Peter
and John offered no prayers for Simon, but left him and his
money accursed.)
True prophesy is a fearful thing and is loathsome
to carnal and wanton believers, as it uncovers sin and strips
away men’s philosophy and reasoning that is used to justify
their carnal and wanton behavior.
1 Corinthians 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation,
and comfort.
In regard to prophetic ministry and prophesy, the single most
damning thing that was done to it beginning a generation ago,
was the re-interpretation of I Corinthians 14:3 to mean that
prophecy is given to make people feel happy in their sin and
corruption, to exhort them unto continuing
to walk in their sin and comfort and to make
them feel at peace in walking in their sin and unrighteousness.
The declaration here of corrupt and carnal preachers and teachers
is: that any prophecy that reveals or speaks of sin (Especially of a preacher, teacher or ministry)
or convicts of sin – is to be summarily rejected even if true,
as being forbidden by God to be spoken in the church.
How does this doctrine
stand up to the scrutiny of scripture and Jesus Christ in the
Gospels? This false re-interpretation of what Paul the Apostle
spoke flies in the face of all scripture and the words and commandments
of Jesus Christ Himself.
The word
edify in Greek simply means to build.
Some years ago in Brazil, they were constructing a number
of high-rises, whether they were apartment or office buildings
is immaterial here, but they were constructing a series of these
buildings in a certain area in town, when suddenly the buildings
started to lean this way and that as they did not have the proper
foundations built to uphold such a structure. – An article was
written speaking of the construction companies racing to disassemble
these high-rises, level by level to the ground, before they
collapsed.
Matthew 7:24-30 Therefore
whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, (To the seven churches in Asia
Minor came prophetic ministry, prophecy to edify
those churches. – Even from the word that proceedeth from The
Mouth of Jesus Christ that every corrupt and perverse teacher
had so submit to, had to repent of their evil deeds, and had
to strip away and remove these things from their churches. To
ignore these words, or to obey them in some half-hearted fashion
meant Christ Himself cursing these churches and God bringing
upon them swift judgment unto destruction.)
and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built
his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods
came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell
not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth
these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened
unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And
the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall
of it. (And great was the death and destruction of all those who sought
protection under that ministry.)
When
we examine these 454,000 prophetic ministries and their websites,
we find no coming unto Jesus Christ as the integral part of
receiving any gifts or ministry.
Luke 6:47-48 Whosoever cometh to Me, (We do not find as the integral part of receiving
any gifts or ministry any requirement of our hearing His words
and commandments as recorded in the Bible) and heareth my sayings, (Nor do we find as the integral part of receiving any gifts
or ministry of Him any requirement of repentance of our ways
and our coming into obedience of His words and commandments) and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man
which built (Edified)
an house, and digged
deep, (He digged deep to edify his house) and (In so doing) laid
the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream
beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for
it was founded upon a rock.
In Brazil, in a manner of speaking, when the
word of the Lord came that the buildings that they were building,
that they had spent millions on, that they had great personal
investment in as to their reputations as builders and architects
– they raced in obedience to tearing down the entire structures
to the ground – realizing that their precious reputations and
their building skills meant nothing as compared to the death
and carnage that would ensue when their high-rises collapsed
and killed all that were within and all within the sound of
its fall.
In the U.S., the church, and especially
those in Pentecostal and Charismatic churches and ministries,
have completely insolated themselves from The Word of the Lord
that proceedeth out of The Mouth of Jesus Christ that would
speak of crooked and leaning buildings men have built in their
own images and likenesses that are storehouses for the doctrines
and traditions of men, and thus have been founded and built
upon abject disobedience to the Words and Commandments of Jesus
Christ as recorded in the Gospels, and written by His Apostles
in the Epistles.
The fruit of this spirit of disobedience
is demonstrated before our eyes that not one of these highly
"acclaimed-by-men" prophetic ministries or prophetic
churches has been torn down to the ground, not even to their
roots and foundations.
See
what the Lord is saying here in these words, and the profound
warning that is being spoken to this evil and perverse generation.
There has been in my life and ministry,
if you want to call it that, a continual bowing to The Word
of the Lord - a continual state of repentance to His reproof
and correction, which is done for my edification. Even in the
articles on this website that have been written over the last
five years, there are changes in their understanding, changes
in what is being spoken, line upon line, as the Lord is building
within myself and my hearers a more sure foundation – that the
Lord requires of all that would be part of the end time people
of God, which in due time and season He shall manifest Himself
greatly to. These are declared elsewhere to be His Bride, --
without spot or wrinkle, or as we are writing here, -- having
a sure foundation.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ. (The foundation Paul is speaking of here is not one saying”
“Yes, I believe in Jesus.” Or “Yes, I am a Christian” Or “Yes,
I am a Spirit filled believer.” The foundation that has already
been laid Paul is speaking of, is the Words and Commandments
of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospels.)
Rightly dividing the Word of Truth
with Scripture and the Gospels, we see the true meaning of this
passage,
Hebrews 4:12 For
the word (That
Proceedeth out of the Mouth)
of God is quick, (Quickened) and powerful, (Filled
with the power of God to perform the task it was given to do.) and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even
to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, (Christ’s words that came from the Father pierced
men’s souls, uncovered their sin and corruption, revealed their
innermost thoughts, cutting them to the quick, and enraging
them to kill Him.) and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of
the thoughts and intents of the heart. (The priests and Pharisees and those of the other
Rabbinical orders of Christ’s day were filled with fear and
rage over this as they refused to repent, they refused to tear
down the house they built on sand – that is, the temple of Herod
and the Babylonian Talmudic Judaism that they were immersed
in.)
What happened because of their rejection and disobedience of
The Word that Proceedeth out of the Mouth of the Father – God came and judged
them, and at His breath The Temple and all their rabbinical
denominations of Talmudic Judaism were swept away.
Just as the word of the Lord has been given to the Church and
all its Talmudic rabbinical denominations in Europe, that except
they come to true repentance and tear down their temples and
cathedrals, and except they divest themselves of all their Talmudic
doctrines and traditions - yet as I live and the Lord lives,
these will not obey and so humble themselves and tear down the
houses they have built in their own name - Therefore God will
come and judge them and at His breath shall all their synagogues
and temples of their denominations be swept away, even before
the eyes of this generation.
One time a few years ago, I was on a certain
website (A non-Christian,
news website that allowed members to comment on news events
and even write articles themselves.) – One night
I wrote a word of the Lord regarding France, concerning some
specific issues and within a matter of minutes a man identifying
himself as French and a believer in Christ responded that he
would never allow these things to happen in France (He had to have been a member high up in the
government) and in a matter of weeks French policies
began to change toward the remedy of what the word of the Lord
had spoken, and they have continued to do so since that night.
This is the first time we have made
any mention of this on the website. We have never laid claim
to having the Ministry of Prophet, we have not laid claim to
any special gifts or operations, and most certainly we have
never made any appeal for disciples or for money from those
who have come here to simply partake of the water and fields
that the Lord has so freely and so graciously provided.
We have made ourselves available
to the Lord to speak and or do whatsoever He desires and certainly
the Lord has come abundantly in recent years speaking in dreams,
the occasional vision, by inhabiting our mouth on occasion,
and by coming and speaking in the night and early in the morning
those things He was sought to lead and guide and instruct us
by. Subsequently, He has also come and greatly manifested Himself
and ordered about much of what we have written. So how can I
rightly lay claim to these things and build a house or ministry
in my own name and boast of these things? The truth is I cannot,
the truth is I must remain hidden in His hand until such a time
as He would deem to send me forth.
Which I could not physically do
anyway, nor would I not if I could, except He carry me forth,
and bear witness to His words.
Exodus 33:15 And
he (Moses) said unto Him, (God) If Thy presence go not with me, (Speaking of Moses
personal, intimate relationship with God) carry us not up hence. (That Moses was completely
unable to lead and guide these people.)
John 7:6 Then
Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time
is alway ready. (Jesus was reluctant
on His own to rise, and speak out – whereas fleshly ministries
and fleshly prophets are always ready to leap behind a podium
or speak before a crowd of men.)
Jesus is teaching, specifically speaking to His disciples,
and the subject matter here is on false
prophets and false ministry.
Luke 6:24-26 But woe (Cursed) unto you (False prophets and false ministries) that are (Have made yourselves) rich! For ye have received your consolation. (From the god of
mammon) Woe (Cursed) unto you (False prophets and false ministries) that are full! (With the dainty foods of kings, with feasts
and parties in your honor)
For ye shall hunger. (Upon entering the judgment of the Lord – where the worm dieth
not.) Woe (Cursed) unto you (False prophets and false ministries) that laugh now! (That are the toast of the town, and live a life
of leisure and pleasure)
for ye shall mourn and weep. (You shall eternally be weeping and wailing and gnashing your
teeth) Woe (Cursed) unto you, (False prophets and false ministries) when all men shall speak well of you! (Your smooth and
easy prophecies and teachings)
for so did their (The Scribes’ and
Pharisees’) fathers to the false prophets.
In the passage above, Christ marks out some specific signs
of that one who is a false prophet, that one who is a false
teacher, and one who has a false ministry (NOTE
that the first thing out of Jesus Christ’s mouth is about money,
affluence, and riches.) The
money mentioned here is specifically in connection to their
profiteering and making financial gain by prophesying, teaching,
preaching and ministering. – When one engages in such behavior
Jesus declares that
regardless of circumstances, they are false prophets, false
teachers, false preachers and false ministries. (NOTE also that Jesus in making this blanket statement, makes no comment on what they prophesy, preach,
teach, or even minister in the way of good works.)
When we link the above passage to this one, it becomes painfully
clear that Jesus Christ is speaking here also of false prophets,
false teachers, false preachers, and false ministries. And that
the falseness of their being false is not the contents of their
prophesies, it is not that they cast our devils by beelzebul,
it is not that miracles and healings did not occur or that their
good works were bad, – the falseness of their being false has
to do solely with: 1) Their lack of relationship with Jesus
Christ. 2) Their not hearing the Lord and being led by the Spirit
to do these things, but rather their going out and doing these
things in their own name and in their ministries name. 3) Their
profiteering from the gospel and making merchandise of the gifts
and ministries of the Spirit. And 4) Their teaching of others
to follow them in their evil and perverse doctrines and traditions.
Matthew
7:21-23 Not every
one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is
in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, Have
We Not Prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have
cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that
work (Prophesy, Teach,
or Preach) iniquity (Lawlessness,
or Disobedience).
When we examine
Matthew 24, we find Jesus Christ prophesying that in every aspect
of the last days to the rising of the Antichrist, to the final
persecution and destruction of the wayward church, that the
end time church shall be filled with false prophets, antichrists,
false teachers, and false preachers. Following the definition
we have laid out before you in Luke, chapter 6 from Christ’s
own mouth, and from Matthew 7 from Jesus Christ’s own mouth
-- the falseness of their being false has to do solely with:
1) Their lack of relationship with Jesus Christ. 2) Their not
hearing the Lord and being led by the Spirit to do these things
but rather their going out and doing these things in their own
name and in their ministries name. 3) Their profiteering from
the gospel and making merchandise of the gifts and ministries
of the Spirit, And 4) Their teaching of others to follow in
their evil and perverse doctrines.
Matthew 24:3-5 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples
came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things
be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end
of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take
heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew
24:9-13 Then shall
they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and
ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then
shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall
hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax
cold. But he that shall
endure unto the end, (Endures what? From being deceived, from being sucked in by
these ministries, by caving and compromising so as to get along
with and partake of these false ministries and all the wealth
and feastings and celebrity status these can afford you.) the
same shall be saved.
Matthew
24:21-27 For then
shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning
of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except
those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:
(Why, because of the great, great pressure that is brought
to bear in everyway possible to cave in, to give in to compromise
so as to get along with and partake of the wealth, feastings
and celebrity status that these false prophets, teachers, and
preachers and ministries can afford you.) but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Then if any man shall say (Prophesy, preach or teach) unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. (This is a commandment)
For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that,
if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Here, Jesus is quoting
a prophecy from Moses)
Behold, I have told (Prophesied) you
before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is
in the desert; go not forth:
(This
is a commandment)
behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. (This is a commandment) For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the
west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Deuteronomy 13:1-5 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder
come to pass, (These shall shew
great signs, and wonders insomuch that if possible, they shall
deceive the very elect.)
whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other
gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; (Jesus Christ and the Apostles teach that these false prophets, false
preachers and false ministries prophesy, preach, and teach with
the intent of turning you away from your dependence on Jesus
Christ alone as your Lord, Master, Savior, and the Giver of
all gifts and ministries to follow instead after them and make
them your lord, master, savior, and giver of all your gifts
and ministries.) Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of
that (Miracle
or wonder working) prophet, or
that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth
you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your
heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your
God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice,
and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. – (For)
that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, -- hath spoken to turn
you away from the LORD your God.
Tday we are up to our eyeballs in
false prophets, false teachers, false preachers and false ministries.
Jeremiah 5:30-31 A wonderful (Fearful) and horrible
thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely,
and the priests (The
preachers and teachers)
bear rule (Retain their false
authority) by their
means; (The false prophecies
of these false prophets)
and my people love to have it so (They are thrilled to pieces, more and more enthusiastic with
all these goings on, and all the more with each coming meeting) and what will ye do in the end thereof? (The answer is: Their
utter destruction)
The book of Jeremiah deals with false prophets more than any
other book in the Bible.
When we turn to the book of Revelation we find a strange thing
written regarding prophetic ministry in the last time. In Revelation,
chapter 11, it is plainly written that there shall be two prophets.
Consider the written word of God and what has been recorded
here carefully. There shall be two true prophets of God. These
are not two companies of prophets, these are not two corporate
prophets these are two individual men. If we look at the prophet
Zechariah (Chapter 4) we find that there is a third man that
is hidden that is associated with these two last great prophets
of God. Zerubbabel, who has been given a plumb-line and is tasked
of the Lord for resetting the foundation of the church one last
time at the end of the last days, and who has also been given
the Spirit of the Lord the prophetic and revelatory Spirit of
Jesus Christ to do so. The two prophets in the book of Revelation
have some connection to him and visa versa.
What I am about to say with great plainness of speech is that
if this is indeed the terminal generation, (The Last Generation
being alive now) then all of these 454,000 prophets, prophetesses,
and prophetic ministries cannot be. Not even a small percentage
of these, not even 5 percent (9,800) of these can be true prophets
of God.
If there were 9,800 true prophets of God in our day, in the
image and likeness of Jesus Christ, able to hear from Him and
the Father as He so heard, and able to speak as He so spoke,
the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South
America and the rest of the world would be so filled with miracles,
signs and wonders, that within 6 months the peoples of every
nation, race and tongue would be clamoring that their respective
nations became disciples of Jesus Christ.
The United States,
Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South
America, and the rest of the world are precisely
the way they are today because these 454,000 men and woman and
the ministries they represent are not prophets of God at all,
but they instead speak out of their own hearts and souls.
Jeremiah 23:16 Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets
that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision
of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
The specific issue that we are addressing here is Prophetic
Ministry and those who would declare themselves to be prophets,
prophetesses, and having a prophetic ministry.
We fully recognize the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking
in tongues, tongues and interpretation, and the gift of prophesy
as legitimate, and necessary for the functioning of the end
time church of God.
However we do not recognize those who have anointed themselves
as prophets and apostles, who have thus set themselves over
God’s heritage as their rulers, who by fiat can decree laws,
lead and guide the flock of God usurping the place of Jesus
Christ and the Holy Spirit in the lives of individual believers,
so as to bring them under bondage and servitude of their whims
and wishes.
