China in Major Battle Against Locusts

In the past 90 days China has had a giant earth quake, the ocean has turned into green sludge and they are trying to remove all the algea in time for the Olympics, now we read they are having a plague of locusts the Lord has set His face against a nation that continues to boast itself against God. These things will continue until China bows its knee before God and sets the Christians free that they may pray, worship and hold meetings freely.

BEIJING - More than 33,000 exterminators have been dispatched to battle a locust infestation in northern China.

The official Xinhua news agency says officials hope the effort will prevent a potentially disastrous migration to the Beijing area during next month's Olympic Games.

The insects, which devour crops, routinely plague Inner Mongolia, which is home to one-fifth of China's grasslands.

Xinhua quotes one top agriculture official as saying China has launched a `full prevention plan' to prevent locust migration during the Games.

Under the plan, some 200 tonnes of pesticides, 100,000 sprayers and four airplanes are being used to kill the pests.

The locust extermination campaign is the latest effort by Beijing to ensure that the Summer Olympics beginning Aug. 8, are flawless. China has already tightened visa procedures to keep out potential troublemakers and mobilized a 100,000-member anti-terrorism force as part of its preparations.
