The Wounded Bride
River of Peace, flow thru me
Restore the wounded Bride inside
Potters' wheel, refashion me
Erase each trace of pain.
A virgin bride, betrothed to Thee
Wedded Lord, for eternity
Bubbling spring, I drink from Thee
Flow waters, deep inside of me.
My innermost part, sealed from Thee
Thy Spirit so desired to free
Unstirred until at last I heard
Your song of love to me.
I've sung My song of love to thee
My way of wooing thee
And courtship now you have with Me
You've handed Me the key
The door you've opened wide, my love
And now one day, you'll know
That love so true can only flow
From waters up above.
Then up the stairway we shall ascend
In My chambers all wounds to mend.
Nothing left to hide, a virgin bride
Hidden within Thy side.
